Went into this location many times and this time around something has changed with the breading of the gizzards. It is not the normal brown chicken breading. I called up to the store and the guy swore that it was the same breading and no other explanation. there’s absolutely no way if you compare the way gizzards look on the normal. The ones I had on yesterday look as if they came from a JJ or Sharks. It was not the brown chicken standard. Unfortunately there is no corporate to reach out to or else I would have done that also. I’ll take the extra drive and go back to the location in Chicago Heights before I do this again. Food cost too much not to have it right or good service to fix it

I was happy to see they built a location closer to home not so crazy about there not being a drive thru. Decided to stop in and get some Mushrooms. I’ve never had a bad one until now. They were not fried to perfection. They were soggy and I had to put them in the toaster oven when I got home. Sorry to say I won’t be back to this location. The only good thing I can say is how nice the lady at the register was and how good the tenders were(not crazy about the price of those either). P.S there is an extra charge if you use a credit card instead of cash. I guess a lot of these small places are doing that now.

This is a poor example of what Brown’s chicken is If I had never had browns chicken, I would think it was terrible. Food was definitely not up to Brown’s standards I don’t think they use the same recipe. Service was OK but this is definitely not brown chicken. i’ve never had mushrooms from browns that still had the stems on them. I don’t know if they’re doing this to add more weight, but it’s not right gizzards were too soft and once again I don’t believe it’s the same batter not crispy at all and the chicken seem to be old had a funny smell to it look like it may have been reheated in an air fryer. I can’t really say but I know I’m one pissed fat man.
Oh, and the biscuit was hard and soft all at the same time never seen anything like it. after spending almost $50 the best thing I got was the fries and the canned Pepsi and even the fries could’ve been cooked a little longerThis location needs to be shut down or either Renamed if you’re looking for BROWN’s chicken in the south suburbs, you’re much better off going to Chicago Heights location..

If they could open on time consistently they may have a chance. The one in Chicago Heights has went down do to staff change (foreigners). You would think they would know their market and take advantage. I was at a business across the street for an hour and it did not open by the time I left. Keep this up and you’ll surely be gone soon.

Ordered a half pound of gizzards for $9.38, I had about six small pieces, asked for soft and they were hard. They messed up my order when they first opened and were supposed to replace it, but I never went back until today. The guy said he would add more to my order. Did I say I got about six pieces? lol..The cup of barbecue sauce was half full but it had pieces of in it like it was already used. For me two strikes and you’re out. I won’t be going back

I bought some chicken livers today from this Browns I asked them to cook them soft , they were hard and dry worst livers ever The food was good when they first opened, but now they can’t seem to get the food right. I came back here to see if they had improved on the food. However, it seems they have gotten worse!!

Simply Beautiful
First time ever having Brown’s chicken. It definitely has its own lane. Greasy like Churches but lacking flavor. Crunchy like Popeyes. Unfortunately. There was no seasoning only the taste of grease it was fried in. Extremely Disappointed. The BBQ and hot sauce didn’t help AT ALL. This is definitely a one hitter quitter for me.

I’m so surprised w some of the reviews… we ordered a few days ago and although we did have to wait the 20 mins for our order i wasn’t complaining because the expectation was getting fresh and hot crispy chicken and we did! The chicken and okra were both great !
