Between our visits, my husband and I shared:
– Chester’s Tail Wagger, Classic Pizza (seasonal)
– Little Rose, Detroit Style Pizza
– Gold Hill, Detroit Style Pizza
– Southwestern BBQ Chicken, Detroit Style Pizza
We really enjoyed everything we had here. The seasonal pizza was definitely my favorite followed by the Little Rose. They have a really good Detroit style crust.
I tried my mom’s Gold Hill on a classic crust and actually thought that pizza was better on the classic crust instead of the Detroit. I wish the BBQ pizza had BBQ sauce as the base instead of red sauce with just a drizzle of BBQ. The red sauce was a bit weird to me on a BBQ pizza, but it was still good.
I just recently discovered they also have locations in Denver, but it’s called Blue Pan Pizza so maybe I’ll be back sooner than I thought!
The bruschetta was yumm had loads of cherry tomatoes drizzled with Balsamic vinegar and the bread was one of the best I had.
The chicken wrap was also good. The garlic parmesan wings the outer fried layer was hard, but still okay. This is a very busy place. But the bar side stools will be available immediately.
We ordered half/half of Brooklyn Bridge & 313. It was sooo good. Generous toppings & perfect crust! Great service from Brock too!
Brown Dog Pizza really knows how to make great pizza! The taste was amazing, and the service was excellent. Travis was our server, and he did an amazing job — very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is great — a lively bar area for social people, cozy booths for private groups, and a nice balcony, perfect for couples. Definitely an awesome place to eat in Telluride!
Consistently good food – sandwiches, salads, and pizza – there’s nothing bad on the menu. There’s outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, ample table seating, and the bar is a great place to watch sports on one of the seven tvs. The prices are reasonable and the draft beer selection is good. I guess the main reason we keep coming back is the service. These folks work so darn hard! This joint is jumping on festival weekends. But they never lose their friendly composure.
We should try other places, but we’re back for our third visit to Brown Dog this weekend. Keep up the great work!
We almost skipped getting the Detroit style
Pizza because we thought it would be too thick and greasy (like Chicago deep dish) but we were assured it’s actually lighter and crispy. Yep! So good!
We shared a small pizza which was two squares a person and had an appetizer and that was the perfect amount for 2 people.
The patio is dog friendly! BUT, the patio has to literally be built in the street – just be careful if you come off season because it wasn’t ready until late May.
