Good food at decent prices, but a side of fries should be actual fries, not the bottom of the bag scraps that are left over when all the regular full size fries are already in the fryer. Let’s just way too much grease, not much payoff. I’ll still cut back and get it again, but if it happens again I’m definitely going to say something personally instead. I like the place, the staff is really friendly, and it’s close to where I work.

We haven’t been here for several years but were enticed back by the newly recently remodeled patio, which is quite attractive. There are large windows in the front now too that lets the light shine in. This is good and bad. It is much airier but there is no hiding the fact that the interior of this old gas station needs the same amount of love that the patio received. They still have the hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions. Since it is a pound, I had two more meals out of it. They nailed the hash browns, so it won’t be year until we return.

We hadn’t eaten food from Brothers 3 in a long time and thought we’d order pickup after the market.
The app we used allowed us to choose a time for pickup, so I ordered a 12:15pm pickup at 11:15-ish while I was thinking about lunch.
We arrived at 12:20p for pickup and the food was ready. Since we were so hungry, we sat in the car and started eating.
You know you can tell your food was made waaay too early if your fries are cool and limp and your onion rings are greasy and soggy with no crunch whatsoever. The burgers were lukewarm.
The app allows you to order the meat done the way you’d like and extra toppings. I ordered medium well and it was well done and dry. The other burger was ordered medium rare and was medium. Both burgers were ordered with extra toppings. Both were missing the mayo, or there was so little added it wasn’t noticeable.
Brothers burgers used to be juicy, flavorful and worth going back for. Sadly, there are better burgers to be had on the Eastside. Perhaps if the food would have been hot like it was just made, we would have enjoyed eating it. My hunch is that the order was cooked shortly after it came in with no regard to the actual pickup time. We won’t be returning as there are many places for a juicy burger in Madison.

They didn’t get our online takeout order automatically. Instead, I got an email from ToastTab telling me to call the restaurant because they hadn’t acknowledged the order. When I called the restaurant, they apologized and got the order started, but I had to wait around for about 15 extra minutes.
They did apologize, and they did get our order entirely correct, including a massive number of individually packed sauces! They also did a great job of separating out the hot and cold, including separating the burgers from the buns/lettuce/tomatoes/pickles, which was nice. Good quality bar food, especially the onion rings and boneless wings. Fried pickles were actually pickle fries, which was kinda cool (but maybe would be better fresh, in restaurant). Fried cod fish fry was ok (probably should have gone for perch or bluegill). Cheese curds and fries were standard (good enough). Bacon cheeseburger was good (not great), but cooked perfectly. Overall really satisfying meal, but nothing too special.

Great food and great service. I got a meatball sub w/fries and cheeseburger soup. The soup was so delicious!! And so was the meatball sub. The sub was luke warm at best but it was still very good. The bun was perfectly toasted so it didn’t get super soggy from the sauce and it came with shaved Parm on top, I’ve never gotten that on a meatball sub anywhere before, and I loved it.
Great little place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. I will definitely be back here.

Used to be the best fish fry I’ve ever had, pandemic hit and haven’t been back since before the remodel.
It’s just as incredible as I was hoping, they kept their portions, they kept the quality, prices went up but that’s fine as the service and food didn’t go down.
Their fish is so fresh and juicy it’s almost like they have their own lake in the back they’re catching fish from.
If you’ve never been here, absolutely get their garlic mashed potatoes, OMG just inject them into my VEINS!

Simple looking place. Not a lot of frill, but very friendly. Service was great, guy even asked my name so he could call me that while I was there. Food was delicious. Will probably be back again on my next trip.

Three Brothers Restaurant provides a classic Wisconsin dining experience with a mix of pros and cons. The ambiance, resembling a typical Wisconsin establishment, may not suit everyone’s taste. The fried pickles were a standout, hot and flavorful, offering a generous portion. However, the main course, particularly the fish fry, left much to be desired. The fish lacked flavor, the mashed potatoes were plain, and the absence of flavor was palpable. If you like brown, your in the right place. The basic well drinks (old fashioned) were average. Running out of the popular walleye early in the evening added to the overall disappointment. While the hot food and Wisconsin vibes might appeal to some, the overall dining experience leans towards a three out of five.

Visited on a Thursday night. Inside was cozy, and we were able to snag the back corner both which gave off a wonderful secluded vibe.
I had the meatloaf, which was super flavorful and moist. I swapped my potatoes out for green beans which were also fantastic. The beans were cooked perfectly (not mush) and still had the tiniest bit of snap to them.
Out server was super attentive, but not annoying which is the goldie-locks zone for restaurant service.
Well defiantly be back again!

This is my go to place for a good burger. Has been for years. The food is always good. Service is decent. Atmosphere was, in my opinion, better when it was a dive. Miss that dive charm but the remodel does look nice. Great place for food and pretty relaxed.
