A cosy place in the cellar, with great drinks and delicious food. Great spot to bring the wife for a date. Couple good non alcoholic drinks as well, that stand on their own, not like ughhhh here’s a cocktail with no booze. We had tuna sashimi, very yummy. I had the surf n turf, if I could complain at all- the potatoes and kale were very salty, otherwise delicious. Wife had Cornish hen and it was very good. The sauce with it was perfect, and hen was tender and juicy. We shared the thousand layer dessert, super light and fluffy. General manager came by to introduce himself and make sure everything was ok. We were well looked after. Maybe portion sizes are a tiny bit small for the price, but sometimes I think we all eat too much nowadays anyway.

It was definitely a different experience.
For appetizers we went with The ceviche was good, empanadas would have been nice to have more than the 3. But I understand it was to taste, price was more than what it should be.
Entree I got the steak frites. I also added chimichuri with it. It was really tasty and steak was done the way I wanted, medium rare. and my husband got the Cornish hen. It was smoked, not at all what he expected. The sides were good, but the hen was not what he expected. He expected more on the roasted or crisp hen. The sauce was not at all we expected it to be.
I would still recommend as the service was very good, mind you, it got a bit busy so it took them a bit to come.by and ask.of we were okay.
otherwise, I would recommend.

This was the first time my partner and I checked out the Brothers Grimm and it was delightful. We had a reservation but there was some confusion around where to seat us when we first arrived- a larger party had been booked in and it isn’t the largest space- but they figured it out quickly.
The drinks we had were tasty and you can’t go wrong with either of the steak frites. I would opt for chocolate torte over the other dessert we had.
It’s nice to see more spaces like this popping up in Hamilton!

Came here for my birthday dinner yesterday evening and had a wonderful time. The menu is great, and everything we ordered was seemingly a hit. I started with the ceviche, which was fantastic honestly don’t know why I got it, but thought I’d do something different from the usual type of thing I would get out. Very flavorful. For dinner I had the Hunter’s Wild Game Pie.Hearty and perfectly cooked.
The rest of my group loved their meals as well. It was a great time for my Birthday Dinner last evening.
I highly recommend checking this place out.

Another Christmas staff party-lunch enjoyed! The brussels sprouts, the steak and fries, and my chocolate mousse dessert were spot on. You get the feel that you’re sitting in Old Montreal. The food is really good and the space is unique. See you there 🙂

Brothers Grimm has easily become one of our favourite dinning spots, Every time we have come to dine someone friendly has always greeted us, we have sat in all different spots in the restaurant and each time had a lovely experience. The servers have always been friendly and attentive and we have enjoyed some nice conversations with them. The atmosphere is super cool, dark vibes that make you feel cozy and comfortable, reminds me of dinning in Europe, we love the fairytale decor and theme throughout, as well as the barrels and the images on the wall outside of the bathroom that show the reno’s that were done to the place, ( a really cool touch). The music is always so fun and interesting too which is a nice touch. Now to the food, Absolutely delicious, I am usually a picky eater and opt for the steak frites and it is perfectly mouth watering every single time. My husband is more adventurous with food and has tried several dishes and he says they all equally as good. The drinks are always great and we especially love the drink that comes out smoking like a spooky cauldron. We love to go on Wednesday or Thursday night as it’s a little more quiet but still an excellent experience. We will definitely be back again soon.

My fiancée and I came here to celebrate our first month of being engaged, and it was the perfect spot for a special night out! The ambiance is beautiful—quiet, calm, and it honestly felt like we were transported to Europe. Our server (I wish I had caught her name!) was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful experience.
We ordered the surf & turf, and the steak was cooked to perfection—exactly how we like it. As a sweet surprise, they even brought out a complimentary dessert to help us celebrate!
Highly recommend this place for a romantic evening or any special occasion. We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I visited Brothers Grimm for the first time on Saturday and it was an incredible experience. The vibe of the restaurant was amazing. Erikka who looked after us was dynamite, she is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, Patrick, the General Manager also came to our table which I’ve never experienced anywhere else. He was also super friendly and you can see the entire staff there all contribute to that vibe. The food is out of this world, the menu is very unique, I wanted to try everything on it! We can’t wait to go back again, I highly recommend Brothers Grimm to everyone.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! They accommodated our large group with no notice and our server Erica was awesome! She’s great with recommending the best things (the wild game pie was phenomenal). Thank you so much Erica, the chef, and all of the staff that made our evening possible!
After we left one of the staff even ran 2 blocks to find us because my colleague forgot her sunglasses, it was so sweet of her. I will most definitely return!

Brothers Grim is an absolute gem. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the ceviche was fresh, bright, and packed with flavor—easily some of the best I’ve had. You can tell real care goes into the food here.
Patrick, the general manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is witty and clever, with a fun, well-executed play on classic fairy-tale themes that gives the place real character without feeling gimmicky.
Whether you’re planning a great date night or heading out for a boys’ night, Brothers Grim hits the mark. Amazing food, great vibes, and standout hospitality—I’ll definitely be back.
