This was a nice place to go for a evening out to eat, drink and play pool. Went there with 6 people and had fun, the servers were very nice, the food was typical bar food nothing impressive but we had a great time.

I recently had the chance to eat at brothers bar and grill, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable casual dining experiences I have had in this area. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is energetic and welcoming. The space is lively and spacious. The service was a strong point. Hannah was friendly, attentive, and quick to check in. The combination of great food and service creates a place that’s easy to recommend!

This place is a decent lil bar near the campus. You can see the history in the bar which is nice, however the food is basic . I went with my family, it was a decent stop for our road trip as we drove through the campus. It’s a sports bar. Bathrooms were ok. Overall, a decent experience but I do not plan on stopping here again.

10/10, lexi was our server tonight. my husband and i could both tell she was extremely busy and probably overwhelmed but yet did a fantastic job anyway. she was quick to apologize for any wait (it wasn’t even that long) and also left us a sweet message reading “good seeing you guys again” on the receipt, as she recognized us from a couple weeks ago and even remembered my daughter’s go to drink. my daughter was excited when she found out lexi was our server actually because she remembered liking her last time. she was very attentive with my kids, making sure she understood exactly what they wanted and were comfortable being in a place that could be seen as overwhelming for a child. she even bonded with my youngest son over bluey and paw patrol. that type of service really makes a difference. my son was so excited. once she walked away after that conversation, all he kept saying was “mom, mom, her favorite is chase, just like me!” it warmed my heart.
she was clearly incredibly busy and still managed to find the time to make my son feel special. we will 100% be requesting lexi’s section everytime we come in from here on out, as per request of my both my children also.

Casual sports bar style place with capacity for a lot of people. The area is very clean and borderline ritzy. Food took about 60 minutes to come out but service was great. They kept up with drinks ( a lot of options on tap) Burgers we got “the overachiever” and the “jalapeño popper” both good although I think the popper was a bit sweet. You can’t request medium rare on the burgers which was a slight bummer. Overall…worth the visit if you’re chilling with friends and not in a hurry.

Kasey was an absolutely amazing server! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Our drinks and food came out quickly, and she has such a great attitude the entire time. She truly made our experience enjoyable, and we’ll definitely be back because of her! I highly recommend asking for Kasey!

Brothers Bar & Grill definitely delivered on a fun night out! I had a fantastic time, and there are a few things that really stood out. First off, the shuffleboard was a huge hit. It’s always great to find a bar with some interactive entertainment, and the shuffleboard was a perfect way to get some friendly competition going.
Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, Twisted Tea on tap? Genius! It’s refreshing, flavorful, and having it straight from the tap was a game-changer. I’ll definitely be back for that alone.
The atmosphere was lively and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends or just unwinding after a long day. The service was also prompt and friendly, which always makes a difference.
What really impressed us, though, was how welcoming they were to our group. We were in town with a visiting team for a hockey game, and even though we weren’t supporting the local team, the staff and other patrons were incredibly friendly and accepting. It’s not always easy to find a bar that’s so inclusive, and we really appreciated that.
Overall, Brothers Bar & Grill is a solid choice for a casual night out. Whether you’re looking for a place to play shuffleboard, enjoy a refreshing drink, or just soak up a fun and inclusive atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended! Go GREEN!

I want to start by saying I hate making this review because I genuinely love Brothers but feel compelled to say something about Victoria the bartender.

I was part of the original opening FOH team at Brothers Bar & Grill back when they opened their south bend location and worked there for years as a hostess and server. I live in Chicago now but Brothers has always held a piece of my heart and I stop in a few times a year when I visit SB. It is sad to see how their standards have slipped.

Victoria the bartender does not belong in hospitality. She cares more about her phone and socializing with staff than doing her job. There were about 8 people at the bar and maybe 5 tables when I visited, it was NOT busy.

She didn’t acknowledge us for about 8+ minutes. It looked like shift change so I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I feel like menus could have at least been dropped… However we sat there and sat there because I told my BF the food would be worth it… it was getting really frustrating though and we almost got up at to walk down to O’Rourkes (which we would have if we had known how bad our experience was about to be)

We watched Victoria sitting on her phone and visiting the line to talk to servers for awhile. So by the time we got to order anything we had already been sitting at the bar for about 15 minutes.

I watched a server deliver our food behind the bar but because Victoria was socializing with the host and sitting on her phone she didn’t see it. We waited for her to notice but I eventually had to get up out of my seat to ask her to grab our food which instantly irritated her. She dropped it off without saying a word and didn’t check on us or speak to us again for the rest of our visit.

If she had checked on us we could have let her know that 2 out of 3 of our items were cold. I also would have liked to order a second beer but that’s hard to do when the bartender doesn’t acknowledge your existence (we were not given waters so once our initial drinks were empty we had to eat our food with zero beverages)

After being ignored for so long, I finally gave up and put my card on the bar to indicate we were ready to leave and she picked it up with a nasty attitude, swiped it, and put it back on the bar then walked away without saying a word to us.

I have been a bartender for 10 years and was appalled by the service we received from Victoria. You can’t have people like her in hospitality because a sense of urgency and a polite personality are necessities- she had neither.

This is my first ever, and most likely only, negative review I’ve posted about a fellow service industry person.

I probably won’t return for awhile (unless Ryan B is bartending) which is unfortunate because the spicy garlic wings are incredible and I look forward to them every time I visit South Bend.
