I’m a little late on giving this review as I see they are now relocating, which I’m excited to see where they end up and visit again. Nonetheless this was my review!

Brother’s Pay Bahamian Delight is an absolute hidden gem. I ordered the fish plate, and it was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. You can tell everything is made fresh, with real care and love behind it.

What makes this place even more special is the couple who own it. They’re incredibly warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. The service felt personal in the best way, like you’re being invited into their kitchen.

If you’re looking for authentic Bahamian flavor, fresh ingredients, and a genuinely friendly atmosphere, do yourself a favor and check out Brother’s Pay. I’ll definitely be back!

My family and I decided to give Brother Pay a shot on our way through Charlotte. We looked up the restaurant and decided why not go and get a taste of the islands. I got the bake chicken with Macaroni and kids got chicken and fries, everything was delicious.

The restaurant was very clean and the bathrooms were clean as well. Service was awesome and everyone greeted with a smile. Definitely a place to stop by and enjoy a nice meal.

Brother Pay we will be back.

Brother Pay Bahamian Delight is an absolute gem. The food here isn’t just delicious—many of the items on the menu are brought in fresh from the Bahamas, ensuring that each dish is both nutritious and bursting with authentic flavor.

We had the plantains, chicken with rice and peas, cracked conch, and conch fritters, and everything was cooked to perfection.

But it’s not just the food that makes this place special. The owners, John and Owenta, truly live up to the name of their restaurant. They are warm, genuine, and incredibly humble, making our dining experience one of the best we’ve ever had. Their hospitality added a personal touch that’s hard to find these days.

And don’t forget to try one of their signature drinks! I promise you won’t be disappointed. This place is a must-visit for anyone in the area.

The strawberry and the mint lemonades were really tasty. The chicken wings and baked macaroni were also good. The pork chop sandwich seemed pretty basic, but it was fine; the French fries were good too.

We didn’t try the seafood, but I imagine it would be their specialty and likely a more unique meal.

We went right at opening and were the only customers there. The location is clean and the bathrooms are nice. Service could have been quicker and it seems like they added $5 to the bill for the tip with no explanation. Altogether the prices seem a bit high.

Enjoyed all things Brother Pay! Warm atmosphere, invested chef, and most importantly delicious food. We started with the conch fritters which were yummy- reminded me of a hush puppy meets tempura. So good! The fresh baked Johnny bread and butter was a lovely compliment to the start of dinner.

I indulged in the fish dinner and the snapper had more flavor than any fish I’ve had this year- and am from the beach, I know my fish! Very pleased the food is all fresh, homemade and wild caught. Brought in weekly! One of the few spots in Mooresville with ultra fresh fish. The plantains were so good, I could’ve had double the serving. Even the baked macaroni was impressive and that’s saying something in the south.

Thank you for the wonderful meal and we will be back soon!

Our first time in. The owners were delightful and the food was delicious! We had the conch fritters, the crab soup (super hearty) and the fried snapper. Sides were crab salad and plantains. The best plantains I’ve ever had! And the delicious Bahamian Rum.

5 stars hands down. Wish this place was closer to Wilmington! Little off the beaten path but well worth the hike! Drinks were on point and the food was amazing! We had a large party so got to sample everything. The fried red snapper was like I was back in the islands.

New place in Mooresville on N Main Street near the Food Lion serving authentic Bahamian food. The wife/husband team are so friendly and great to talk to. The food we had was amazing and don’t miss out on the handmade lemonade or the Rum! We will definitely tell our friends about this place and be returning soon.

Recently visited the restaurant after reading reviews. Was disappointed in the fact many food items they did not have, that were on the menu. We had to change our selections at least three times when we were told, we don’t have any of that. Did not have any lobster, no plantains, and had no desserts at all on the evening we visited. Service was good, but after all, we were the only ones (2) in the restaurant at 6:00 pm. Will give them a chance to improve and stabilize their food inventory and may try them again. Be aware!
