The service, however, was on the slower side. We noticed other tables had complimentary house-made bread with herbed olive oil, so we asked our server about it. She mentioned she was new and hadn’t offered it at first, which was a bit unsettling, but once we got it, the bread and oil were delicious—and exactly what we needed since we were starving.
For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari. The portion was generous, tasty, and so filling that we had to take some home. Before the mains, salads were served—my Caesar salad was crisp, fresh, and well-balanced with parmesan, while my friend enjoyed his Greek salad. Both were a solid start to the meal.
For the entrees, I had a veal dish prepared schnitzel-style—breaded, fried, and served with gnocchi, mushrooms, and a rich Italian-style sauté. It was hearty and satisfying, though the portion was more than I could finish, so I took leftovers home. My friend ordered salmon, which he really enjoyed, though his portion was noticeably smaller and he finished it quickly.
We ended on a sweet note with a shared cannoli. The filling was nicely balanced—not overly sweet—but the shell could have been a bit crunchier. Still, it was a good finish.
Overall, the food was very good and the atmosphere lovely, though the service could definitely be more attentive. Since we were mainly there to spend time together, the slower pace didn’t ruin the evening, and we left happy
Great experience at BB the other night. Friend and I grabbed dinner here as it had been a long time since we had eaten here.
The atmosphere was friendly, dark, and quite exemplifying a nice dining establishment.
I had the crusted pan seared salmon with horseradish aioli and it was MONEY. Great crust and cooked very well. I had a side of spinach Florentine which was pretty good, and it came with a dinner salad. The blue cheese vinaigrette dressing was INCREDIBLE!! Don’t skip it.
We will definitely be going back.
