Everything here was just okay. The cocktail was too sweet. The server was very hard to get a hold of. And I wasn’t impressed with the food. The salad was the best thing they had! They charged scallops a la carte. The salmon Caesar was pretty good. Overall, I would not return here again. Primarily because the simple meal took a very long time and we didn’t enjoy it.

Love the plate presentation they have here! Food was amazing, I’d definitely recommend the stroganoff my boyfriend and I loved it! And our server (I believe her name was jasmine) was super sweet and attentive!

Yes, we all know the reputation of Grosse Pointe— the glitzy area and the Bronze door caters to that group but dare I say that the food is pretentious and the portions tiny? I know food prices have gone up, but I was disappointed by the portions. The food was decent and great service.

Went here for our Anniversary we would usually go downtown Detroit but big events were going on. The service was excellent everyone from the hostess to our server was very friendly and helpful, we made reservations and went early in the evening. My husband very much enjoyed his Old fashion “Paper plane” cocktail, I ordered a tequila cocktail which was not my favorite but I chose to take a risk on mine. We had calamari, bread, and French onion soup as apps, they were good but basic I’ve had better at local places. I had the beef stroganoff which was very tasty and different from anything I had before, I recommend. My husband got the fried chicken sandwich he enjoyed as his meal as well. I gave this 4 stars because it was a good meal and we would go back if we were local, but not a place I would go to for an anniversary meal or special event.

Went in for the first time this evening and really enjoyed it. Vodka shrimp penne had a ton of kick and flavor, they do a really interesting Caesar that has an olive spread, and the calamari comes with a spicy sauce that really pulls it together. Our sever Aaron was fantastic and they fire meals quickly. Excellent all around experience.

What can you say when the food, atmosphere and staff are amazing? We had a cover for 10 people, one of whom was celebrating his 40th birthday. The Bronze Door staff made the night very special. Our server, Alyssa, was just wonderful. She handled several special requests like the professional she is, kept the refills coming and made sure the group felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The manager, George, was stellar. Truly a top notch manager who was not only running front of house, but much later in the evening we discovered the kitchen was short-staffed. No one could tell as food was delicious and paced. Some examples were the veak shank on polenta (which sells out quickly) and filet. Perfect plates. This was my second visit here and both times were just amazing. So great to have such a nice restaurant with competitive prices, great selection and ambiance so close to home.

Excellent restaurant. The decor was beautiful and the restaurant’s atmosphere was very nautical, warm and fitting for the area. The menu had a great variety and food was absolutely delicious. Service was also unbeatable and we look forward to dining here again.

Great Food and atmosphere! We lost our $100 gift card and the manager, Wendy, looked us up in the system and credited our bill. This kind of service and professionalism has been lost these days. What a pleasantly surprise.
