From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at The Bronze Door was outstanding. The hostess warmly welcomed our family and even checked in on our 1-year-old throughout the night. Our server, Christopher, was patient, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. Chef Dillon personally greeted us, shared his vision, and suggested dishes we loved. The lobster bisque was incredible, the Branzino and Salmon were perfectly prepared, and dessert — warm chocolate chip cookies with ice cream — was the perfect finish. Top-tier food and service. We’ll definitely be back!

We celebrated our 20 anniversary here and everything was amazing! The manager James greeted us and during small talk he asked what our wedding song was. The he played our wedding song over the restaurant speakers. I almost cried. My husband and toasted with our wedding song playing. The executive chef Dillion came and greeted us and the food was amazing. Our server Anthony and his partner server gave expert service. I’m so happy we chose to celebrate at this restaurant. My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a dinner at Bronze Door yesterday and the experience was exceptional. The food was prepared with quality and our server Christopher was fantastic. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable in making suggestions for drinks and menu items. We truly appreciated him making our special dinner enjoyable. We also received a beautiful dessert at the end of our meal which was a pleasant surprise. Thank you again to Bronze Door and specifically Christopher for great service and food. We will be back!

Bronze Door is a ten star restaurant in our opinion. We had our first date in the fall of 2022, and went back for Valentines Day in 2025, as husband and wife.
Their menu choices never disappoint. The orange glazed salmon entree is flavorful and very filling. We also recommend the filet mignon and the white cheddar mac & cheese.
Upon our visit, both times, we were greeted with amazing hospitality. Andree Lux, Sommelier and General Manager paired a great red wine with our meal and she was so kind to take a photo of us on our special visit.
Bronze Door will always be our special place. From the atmosphere, to the staff and all of the menu choices, you can’t go wrong. Parking is easy, and the location is great.
We look forward to our next visit!

We highly recommend the Bronze Door. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the salmon, filet, and the veal. Each dish contained potatoes and vegetables. The fig and pear salad dish was very tasty as well. The brushetta was just as good. The staff was very welcoming and attentive! From the hostess to our waiter, Anthony! Anthony was great. The ambiance was wonderful, from the candles to the decor. We had a celebration, and they were kind to ensure we had a wonderful time.

I have been 2 time in the last 2 weeks. Chef came to table and confirmed everything was to our liking. Service was attentive and professional. Most recent visit – 3 at our table had the Jack Dory fish special, with Sweet Potato Gnocchi – all exclaimed delight of the flavor layering…excellently prepared and seasoned. I enjoyed the time classic Hill of Perch. We also shared the acorn squash which was also very enjoyable.

Everything here was just okay. The cocktail was too sweet. The server was very hard to get a hold of. And I wasn’t impressed with the food. The salad was the best thing they had! They charged scallops a la carte. The salmon Caesar was pretty good. Overall, I would not return here again. Primarily because the simple meal took a very long time and we didn’t enjoy it.

I really love the classic aesthetic of Bronze Door! They have a nice cocktail menu with unique ingredients. I ordered the grey goose shrimp and penne which was a nice portion and very flavorful. My friend ordered the stroganoff and honestly we both felt hers seemed more like an appetizer portion and definitely looked like it should have had some more carrots and spaetzle. Our server was very friendly and gave suggestions for the menu. My only issue was when we had cashed out and were getting ready to leave, she came over and said she didn’t charge my card the full amount and didn’t give much explanation, just said I owed $16 more dollars. I thought this was strange and a little off-putting that my card didn’t get charged properly the first time…
The highlight of the whole experience was the lemon cream cake for dessert- PHENOMENAL! I would definitely come back for drinks and dessert!

We always sit in the bar area. The new chef, Dylan, is amazing. I had his grouper special last weekend and it was the best meal I’ve had in s while. We often eat at the good restaurants downtown, and this was better!. Andrew at the bar is charming and attentive. Great place.

Yes, we all know the reputation of Grosse Pointe— the glitzy area and the Bronze door caters to that group but dare I say that the food is pretentious and the portions tiny? I know food prices have gone up, but I was disappointed by the portions. The food was decent and great service.
