Salad was huge. Too much. Blue cheese dressing was weak. Minestrone Soup was burnt. Sourdough bread delicious. We both got prime rib. Get Petite cut as we got hearty and it was huge. Its the nicest restaurant around. I see why its packed. Much nicer inside than the Winchester mystery house it is on the outside. Better blue cheese would go a long way, less spinach in the Minestrone as it makes it bitter. But we would definitely go back.

How is this place able to stay open? Besides serving tasty food, the serving sizes are huge! The service was prompt and the staff attentive. There was a wait for the table but it was well worth it. The prices are more than reasonable.

We love going to the broiler. We go quite a bit at least once or twice a month. I love the people that work there. They’re really nice and enjoyable and personable and the bartender’s awesome! He’s always knows what we want to drink and he knows how to treat people really good!!!

The Boiler Steak House – Ukiah, CA
We had an amazing experience at The Boiler Steak House in Ukiah! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and perfect for a great meal. The food was outstanding — perfectly cooked steaks, rich flavors, and high-quality ingredients that really show the care the kitchen puts into every dish. Everything we ordered was delicious and well presented.
What truly made the night exceptional was our server, Maria. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. Maria made sure we had everything we needed, checked in at just the right times, and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Her great attitude and excellent service really elevated the whole experience.
If you’re looking for a top-notch steakhouse in Ukiah with amazing food and outstanding service, The Boiler Steak House is a must-visit — and if you can, ask for Maria! We’ll definitely be back.

If the drive wasn’t an hour, I would love to eat here regularly. The nostalgia of the atmosphere, service, food and procedures feels so good now that we’re living in the future. the 3 of us ordered the prime rib in both sizes and the grilled shrimps. We had fries and baked potatoes. Next time I’ll get a different steak for sure! or maybe the pasta. I really liked the salad and bread. We went on a Sunday, so the minestrone was a delicious surprise. We went on a birthday, so I was really looking forward to ordering something fancy for dessert, but instead got a free ice cream, which was delicious and simple. My spicy bloody Mary (with horseradish, not Tabasco, the other option) was small and DELICIOUS with the grilled shrimp skewer, which came with a few bell pepper wedges too. Fries portion is generous. Plenty of salad. EXCELLENT service from the busboy and waiter!!!

I hadn’t been to the Broiler in 15 years and was amazed it was a good now as it was then. It is warm, comfortable and inviting like going to a favorite relatives house. The host was bright and personable while the staff was there to satisfy all needs, we didn’t have to want for anything. Try the Prime Rib on the weekend, it’s to die for.

I love this steakhouse so much, both service and food are excellent, clean dining room. Coming in early is recommend especially right when they’re open because the whole place filled up very quickly and there’s a long waiting line.

The only thing that was good was the baked potato but really small. The lamb chops and stake was very raw hopefully my husband and son don’t get sick. The salmon has no flavor. We came here 2 years ago and it was a five-star. Now after tonight I would not come back.

After waiting 40 minutes to get seated, which would normally have been ok because the Broiler always had the best food, our waitress was terrible, the beef was tough, they gave me the wrong side dish AND steak and when we wanted potato with everything, they didn’t bring the sour cream until 15 minutes after the meal was served! What is going on with this place? This has never happened before. It was my husband’s birthday too!

Came here expecting a nice dinner and order d a few medium rare steaks and filet mignons. Had their house salad and each had a few servings, then suddenly a live fly crawls out the salad on our plate. A living-crawling dirty fly. On top of that, all of our meat was over-cooked, dry, cold, and lacked flavor. And the bill? No compensation. Told our waitress and the manager comps our second round of sodas. Thats it. That’s what $5? Asked for a discount for the fly and the overcooked steaks and was denied. The medium rare steaks durned out well-done at best. Also cold. Managed the finish the steaks as we don’t waste food but this is an absolute disaster of a place. Overall the food was poor in quality, appearance, taste, and lacked appeal. Please do not dine here unless you like eating flies and dry-over cooked cardboard tasting meat.
