While in the area I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. This place is quite popular, as they were not only busy inside, but there was a steady stream of people coming and going. I was quickly greeted and seated… and I noticed they offered a buffet for $12.99, which I find rare to have buffets at BBQ joints, so I decided to take a look at what they were offering and ultimately I chose it.

After looking at it, I will say the food looked very “southern style” which isn’t very appetizing to look at, but if made right, will taste great. So, I started with a chicken thigh, their chopped pork, and a couple of hush puppies. Those hush puppies were some of the best I’ve had in a very long time – AMAZING! The chopped pork was smokey and so tasty – I ended up going back for more of this! The chicken was moist, tender, and tasty. I really liked this first portion so much, I went back to try their slaw and a lot more pork, as well as some more of those hush puppies.

I have to say – this place is offering a nice deal for this buffet… so, go try it! I’m not able to comment of their other BBQ or smoked meat offerings, as I didn’t try anything else. And generally, I’m not fond of NC style BBQ, which this type of chopped pork resembled, but I will say, I was very impressed. The service was very friendly and “down home style” too… They even had some nice police-friendly things on display, which is something I truly appreciate about true, sincere, decent folk! I’d definitely return!

First time at Brock’s. I didn’t opt for the Buffet so we ordered from the menu. We were seated promptly and received our food in a timely manner. My wife had the sliced pork and I had Fried Clam strips. Her pork was very moist and seasoned well. My clam strips were perfect. I cannot find clams on any menu around this area so I was excited to have them at Brock’s. I was told they have the clams on the Wednesday dinner Buffet. I shall return.

Tried this restaurant for a work lunch. The building is pretty dated so it feels a bit old. The table looked clean, but was tacky. The entire time we were there, me and my co workers were fighting off flies, not one, but many. When our food finally came out, it looked like old school cafeteria food, which is not terribly appealing. The green beans were really good, and the coleslaw tasted fresh, but the pork bbq was difficult for me to eat. I visit a lot of bbq restaurants and pork is my favorite, but this meat was chopped so fine you couldn’t tell what protein it was. The texture was was kinda mushy and there was sauce already mixed in, so I really couldn’t taste the pork, just the sauce. It may have been better on a bun, but I didn’t order it as a sandwich. The staff were the really bright spot of the visit. They were polite and friendly and greeted everyone warmly. The restaurant was pretty full and there seemed to be a lot of regular customers, so if you are looking for no frills, old school buffet dining, you may want to try Brock’s, but don’t expect really great bbq. One visit was enough for me, so I will not be going back.

$32.00 for this!!!! Wow. Literally 2 spoons for the sizes. It’s a 2 oz size like a side container for sauces… no problem. Lesson learned.no silverware, napkins, nothing! The ribs have absolutely no seasoning. I taste no salt, no pepper no type of rub on these ribs at all. Thumbs down for me sorry. and one last thing, instant potatoes. I don’t think I’ve had instant potatoes since I was a child. This was probably one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. For the price you charge customers need to receive at least home-cooked food not instant potatoes and a 2 ounce side for $32 and meet with absolutely not 1 ounce of seasoning. All bad..

We recently catered my sister’s wedding through Brocks BBQ. I have had Brocks BBQ previously, but it had been quite some time since my last visit. Let me tell you we could have not been more pleased with the quality, quantity and catering service that was provided. people from the wedding are still asking me weeks later “What was the name of that BBQ place again”? If you our anyone you know is in the mood for some great bbq, head over to Brocks, you won’t be disappointed. Thank yall for everything

Brock’s has been around for a long time, and with it’s recent face-lift, is still going strong. The buffet is yummy and is a mainstay in this BBQ heaven! Service is top rate and don’t forget to save room for the peach cobbler!!

Tried the Pitmaster sandwich… and the Carrot Cake was delightful!

In my never-ending Tuesday quest to find the best buffet… we find this spot. Brock’s BBQ took us 30 minutes to reach from the Airport. The food was good. Fresh but very slow coming out. The beans tasted unseasoned and straight out of a can. The greens very good. The corn was ok. The mash potatoes were average. The salad bar was very simple. The meat we’ll let me tell you.

The chicken was to die for. I try to stay away from fried foods but the seasoning on the chicken and fried livers kept pulling me back in. I LOVED it!!! The BBQ was pretty smoky and tasty. The pulled pork was more of a shredded pork and was very good because it wasn’t stringy. Almost like chopped BBQ. Either way those where my favorite dishes.

The reason this location lost their stars. My server was very nice and friendly. So friendly that she hand picked my lemons and held them in the cup with her fingers on top of the lemons flesh so they do not fall. Gross!!! . Other than some basic health food violations. The place is worth a visit.

They have a good variety in the buffet at a great price. Menu items are a bit more expensive, but presented well and with portion sizes that will not leave you wanting. Smokehouse platter offers a great variety with ribs, pulled chicken, brisket, and two sides. Staff has always been extremely friendly and welcoming. True southern hospitality.
