Fries were great hand cut and tasty. Fish and chips were ok. Fish was good but batter was a bit soggy nachos were good (half order was small). Bathrooms be warned they’re shared (non gender) and one has a urinal was smelt so bad. Service was amazing and view was great.

Great food, consistent service, and nice location. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable, with lots of parking and seating for guests.

The menu changes up from time to time, and everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. One of the better restaurants in SJ.

Ate here yesterday with our kiddos. It used to be a go to for us but we haven’t been there in well over a year or so. The wait staff was exceptional. The food on the other hand was blah. I ordered the Spicy Chicken handheld. When I got the plate, I was a little thrown off by the spicy grease all over the top and bottom of the buns. It was so messy to hold, the that same oily mess was all under my fries too. I had never had that sandwich here before, so I assumed it was just a messy meal. I have had something similar at pump house in Moncton though and it was nothing like this. The chicken breading was not good…maybe burnt or the oil needs to be changed in the fryer. My son got the southern fried chicken but again the breading he chose to pull off because it was dark and bitter. He actually only ate half of one piece which is unlike home. The fries were super greasy. I couldn’t eat mine. My little guy couldn’t his poutine because the fries “tasted funny.” My partner got breakfast, and it was pretty good.

For drinks my partner ordered an espresso martini. When it came, we noticed there was something milky in it. The waiter said they used Baileys in it. Why are people changing the classic espresso martini? It’s a favorite for us. We never think to ask if they use a milk based liquor because they shouldn’t and my partner doesn’t do milk. Lesson learned. Our waiter made them a new one which seemed watered down. I drank the milky one. It was okay but I think maybe used regular coffee and not actual espresso.

Overall the atmosphere is cool, the service was great but the food and beverage could use some attention to be what we used to come bi weekly for.

We went today for 1pm. The waitress came immediately and took our drinks order, but we weren’t given any water. She helped me with gluten free options. I ordered fish taco with a side garden salad. My friend order fish and chips and the garden side salad, which was offered with the main dishes.
A table of 5 arrived beside us. The waitress came, took their drink orders, and then came back and took their meal order.
After we had waited around 20 minutes, the table of 5 were served their meal! When we asked where our meal was, we were told it would be there shortly.
My friend’s fish and chips arrived without chips and both our garden salads consisted of a bunch of what seemed liked store bought greens! The fish in my taco was, at best, luke warm! When we asked where the chips were, the waitress went oh, yes, you didn’t get any, would you like me to get you some! My friend declined as by this point we had waited nearly ½ hour.
The final insult came when the bill was presented with Fish and Chips listed as one of the items. When this was pointed out to the waitress, she insinuated that the salad was substituted for them!
This was our first and probably will be our last visit to Britt’s.

This is a longtime favorite of my group. Always excellent, especially of dining in. Unfortunately the prices have gone up significantly recently. The prices shown online are not up to date. Nor is the Google estimate. It was a shock for my group who had read the menu online beforehand.

It’s hard to justify the new prices on pub fare, even if it is fancy pub fare. On a Saint John budget it’s just not adding up. And we can’t even blame all the wealthy people who recently moved here from Ontario because pub prices in Ontario were already cheaper than the old prices. At the new price point they are competing with the best of the best in Saint John.

Unique menu items with classics. Fried pickles to start were so crispy and crunchy. I didn’t know what to expect with a pb&j burger, but it was delicious! Also had fish and chips, which were perfectly seasoned and fried. The fries were solid as well. Loved the service and vibe of the place too! Had a great time.

Wasn’t a fan a few years ago, but my mind was definitely swayed this time around. Loved the sandwiches, and even picky eaters will enjoy the food here, there is something for everyone. Wonderful service by our server Cas, make sure you get the mousse cake if they have it.

Overall good experience, tried a bunch of things. Everything was good, no complaints but nothing stands out as great though. They have a good drinks menu too. We had a late lunch so place wasn’t that crowded and we got served fast. Plenty of parking spaces and most times you can just walk in but during holidays the odds are you won’t find a place without a booking. Prices are higher than similar places but a prime location next to a golf course comes at a premium i guess.

Ordered the blackened salmon, which was on the pricier side. I’m not typically fussy about portion size, but it was notably scant. The fingerling potatoes were undercooked and practically flavorless, the pea purée (as I had feared) was discordant and tasted like baby food, and the dollop of “charred avocado salsa” was just mashed avocado and corn. Failing grades on both concept and execution. My wife ordered a cocktail (“cantarita”) that tasted thin and watery. Perhaps worst of all, the kids finished their food and were still hungry, as were the adults. They’re clearly cutting corners to improve their margins, which is understandable but also not worth my time or money. The second star is in memory of the decent brunches I’ve had in the past.
