Our 1st time visit here. We had a rack of ribs, the sausage they make and a chicken leg quarter. The meat was all excellent. The ribs had great bark and was literally fall off the bone. The sausage had great flavor, mild in my rating small amount of heat. Chicken was moist, great flavor, skin was also perfect seasoning. The smokers were using oak, I believe. The sauce is the only thing I think the team could improve on. I would have liked a hotter sauce. The red sauce was sweet, the yellow one had a mild heat. The slaw was tasty, my wife is the biggest fan of slaw but I recommend , it is part of traditional smoked BBQ.
The site has adequate room for indoor and outdoor dining, this is a great time for outside. Not sure if it had room in the summer heat, outside, even though shaded, there is an asphalt parting lot next to it.
I wish the establishment was closer to where I live (45 min. away). I will definitely be back again for more of the same.we did have leftovers as pictured.

Came here for the first time with my family. Always wanted to try this place since seeing a video of this business. We ordered their most famous and recommended Brisket and BBQ Fried Rice. We also ordered the Mac N Cheese, and their Beef Rib (sold only on Saturdays). Everything was so flavorful and delicious except for the beef ribs which I was so looking forward to smashing. It was not tender at all and half of it was super dry and almost beef jerky-like. Very disappointing. We made the 2hr drive just to check this place out too. Overall, decently priced for very tender and flavorful brisket and fried rice. Adding the complimentary sauces enhances the flavor as well.
The staff are very friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine on, but the outdoor seating area seems more spacious than the indoor area. Large parking lot and a set of private restrooms.

I had had this place on my must-visit list for several months. It’s a small spot, but thoughtfully laid out. As the name suggests, their specialty is rice and brisket, though they also offer a great variety of sides and main dishes.
We tried the fried rice and the brisket, along with the street corn and coleslaw. The brisket was outstanding—I can confidently say it’s among the best I’ve had in Texas. The Asian-style fried rice, with its distinct Texas twist, was something completely new to me and an absolute stroke of genius. Special mention goes to their mustard BBQ sauce, which is simply delicious.

It was my first time in Houston and I found this place while searching for what to eat. I’m so glad I did because it was delicious. I especially loved that I could eat it with rice The brisket was tender, and the sausage was flavorful without being too salty☺️♥️

We finally made it out to try the brisket and fried rice and it was worth the drive. We tried a little bit of everything, the brisket was fantastic. Nicely rendered, seasoned well, tender and moist. Ribs were fall off the bone and nicely seasoned. Sausage was juicy with a nice snap. The sides were a little hit or miss. I honestly didn’t care for the poor man’s mac or the mac and cheese. The first was just meh, i really expected more flavor. The mac and cheese was not very cheesy and just bland. However the corn was great. The baked potato salad was surprisingly good and the chilli was tasty. The fried rice is definitely the standout. Overall very enjoyable and I would say a little more reasonably priced than other BBQ joints.

First time eating here and let me tell you… if I could give it 10 stars I would. Wow. Just delicious food from start to finish. We came during lunch time and ordered our food and it came out in less than 15 minutes. Each bite of brisket and the rice hit the spot. I was so full that I even got leftovers and reordered more brisket fried rice to go. 10 out of 10 for me.

Michelin star restaurants are known for their creative approach to traditional dishes. Here in Texas, BBQ and Brisket is KING! This place has very decent meat, nothing I tasted was bad, however, I have had way better BBQ at other places without Michelin stars. Where I think this guys knock it out of the park is with their RICE! (And the Banana Pudding). Normally, rice ia not a traditional side dish for Texas BBQ places, but this guys serve their brisket on top of some delicious fried rice (or just steam white rice) and I think that’s the wow factor!!! Overall, it is a great place, with good value for your buck and good atmosphere. It is small, and the line can get long… also, it is first come first serve kinda deal, once they’re out… they’re out.

I’m a huge foodie and I love finding local spots that have soul and a story. Brisket and Rice comes with plenty. A perfect fusion of Asian and Southern BBQ, this is by far the best brisket I’ve ever had. Both the moist and the lean were juicy and fell apart at the touch of the fork. The smoke flavor was immense and the seasoning was perfect. Over the jasmine rice, it was a perfect pairing. The fried rice was extremely flavorful, with large chunks of onion and meat with the classic fried rice flavor. The sausage was next level. Wrapped in a natural casing, it has that perfect snap, and the filling is packed with flavor. No sauce needed, only if you want to introduce even more flavor.
Also, had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his wife and they, along with the rest of the staff, were so incredibly nice. Took the time to talk back of house, day to day, and the story of the restaurant. Thank you again for the great conversation.
Highly recommend for some incredible fusion while not losing the soul of true Texas BBQ.
UPDATE: Came back to Houston for work and had to stop by. Not only has the quality stayed incredible, the staff are still just as welcoming, and this has easily secured it’s spot as my favorite food spot in Houston.

The brisket was tender, juicy, and perfectly smoked with so much flavor in every bite. You can really tell it’s cooked with care. The sides were just as good — the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the corn was delicious and well-seasoned. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. Great portions, great quality, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots in Cypress — I’ll be coming back for sure!

Brisket & Rice never disappoints! I’ve eaten here several times, and the Jalapeño sausage has me in a chokehold, I keep coming back for more!
The brisket isn’t bad either honestly it’s some of the best in the city. I’m not a fan of a heavy pepper rub or thick bark so I really appreciate their approach here. The brisket is moist, smoked perfectly, and packed with flavor. The pickles, onions, sauce, and Jalapeños are a great touch. I’ll be back every chance I get!
