I really enjoyed the food at Brisas Latin Cuisine — everything we ordered was delicious, and that alone makes me want to come back. Unfortunately, the service on this visit wasn’t great. We waited about 45 minutes before learning that our food order hadn’t been put in. Our server apologized and sent it to the kitchen right away, and once she did, the food came out quickly.
I also had to wait quite a while for a dessert to go, which was pretty frustrating after the earlier delay.
That said, I genuinely think this was a one-time fluke, and the quality of the food makes me want to give Brisas another try. I’m hoping the service is smoother next time because the dishes themselves are absolutely worth it.

Came in for a lil Sunday bunch. Had a strawberry mimosa and some Caribbean calamari, which was delicious! It was the perfect proportion of calamari, pineapples, jalapeños, and banana peppers… with the perfect chipotle aïoli sauce! Thank you Brisas Latin Cuisine!

First time last night. I had the Campesino steak and my wife had the salmon and they were both great. Staff was nice and attentive.
My only suggestion is to add some items from your lunch menu to the dinner menu such as the cubano sandwich and the la bandera

We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!! We’re from Maryland and we were looking for a good spot to eat. I found this place on Google. We loved our food! Everything was amazing about this place. The food, portions, service everything! They’re very hospitable. We were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing. Of course we left her a nice tip! I think her name was Haley maybe? Hopefully I got that right. I got the Hey Dude Eggwich, my husband got the nachos and our daughter got the morning omelette. We will be back! 🙂

Friendly, attentive staff. Great tasting freshly made food. I had La bandera Dominicana, fries pork, fried sweet plantains and moro de abichuela (rice mixed with beans). Came out at a good pace and the flavor was pretty authentic. Not pricey for the atmosphere and service.
I recommend it.

I wish I was able to sit down and enjoy at the table. I made a take out order to bring back to my hotel. We had Quesadillas, Empanadas, Nachos, Yucca fries, and a Tres Leches cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic! We were all blown away by how fresh and delicious it was. Thank you for accommodating our large to go order! We will be back to dine in next time we hit Goldsboro. If you’re a Goldsboro local and you haven’t been to this place, change that ASAP!

We had the Bloody Mary Shrimp and Grits with peppers, onions, and smoked sausage and an Avocado Skillet Hash with corn, black beans, eggs, and sour dough toast. Such a beautiful, vibrant restaurant with lively latin music and amazing, delicious food. Our waiter was so personable, welcoming, and kind. Super friendly. You just know when a place really cares about you and the food they make. You feel the love and passion.

Food is good tasty, hot, seasoned well. The atmosphere was nice. Tried to stay and her live music but was finished before he was finished setting up. I had chicken cabonara, and fiance had steak sushi. We both loved our food!

Brisas has a lot of potential but just stops short of being excellent.
The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere is nice, though slightly too bright for the dinner service.
I found the menu is a little confusing. While there are a lot of potentially good options, the descriptions were a bit vague. I’m not opposed to spending 25+ on an entrée but a more thourough description would give me more confidence to commit to that price point.
They obviously are concerned about quality ingredients as they feature Cheshire Farms pork products.
One slightly strange thing is that I didn’t expect to find sushi at a restaurant that focuses on Latin American cuisine. (Note: Personally, it seems misguided to go in two dramatically different directions.)
We ended up ordering conservatively because we were unsure of what would be reliably good.
I had the Chicken Quesadilla, and my friends ordered the Beef Empanadas and the Garden Salad. Surprisingly, the rice was really bland. Otherwise, all of it was good, but not amazing.
However, I couldn’t help but wonder if we had ordered the wrong thing because we noticed other really interesting dishes traveling to other tables. This is also a good time to mention that it took 45+ to get our meals. And the waitress forgot to put in one item we ordered. Since it took so long to get the food we just skipped it…
All in all though, I’ll definitely give them another try because the potential is definitely there and I love that they are local and are also supportive of other local businesses.
