We are stuffed and still have half the tray left. Everything was AMAZING, THE cheese sauce on the fries was to die for, so good we bought a pint to go. The sweet BBQ sauce was excellent, both the ribs and wings passed the test. Our server Serenity was also excellent. We live 2 blocks away and for some reason we have never tried Briquettes until now. Rest assured, we will be back!

Stumbled across Briquettes as we were passing through Ashtabula. It is set in an old brick building with a view of the Harbour and lift bridge. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Instantly greeted by one of the waitresses who was friendly and accommodating. The bar and additional seating is located on the 2nd floor. As soon as you enter, the aroma is amazing. My husband & I shared the rib taster and the 3 meat combo which included pulled pork, chicken thigh and brisket. It came with 2 sides and jalapeno cornbread. We did get an additional side for a $4 upchange. Everything was delicious and we were stuffed. Prices are reasonable. Portions are generous (don’t let the platter picture fool you, we split the food and started eating when I remembered to take the pic). If we lived closer, this would be an establishment we would visit often.

Officially my new favorite bbq spot! All the food was absolutely phenomenal. I got the 3 meat combo with 2 different sauces. Flavor flavor flavor!! My husband said the warm apples were to die for! He got the double dog meal. The aroma alone was fantastic! But my drink was almost the star of the meal…the harbor island tea! The style of this place is eclectic and charming. Modern yet homey. The staff was helpful and our waitress was very pleasant. We will unmistakably be back!!

Decent food and service. Amount of food was good for the price. There was limited seating upstairs so we had to sit in the first floor where the atmosphere isn’t as good. I’d go back if in the area.

Everything about Briquette’s was a very nice experience. The nachos with brisket was absolutely delicious and more than enough serving for two. I’d definitely recommend Briquette’s for a satisfying meal. Our server was very attentive and helpful with our order.

Wonderful food! I had the beef brisket sandwich and my son had the rack of ribs. They weren’t lying when they said it was fall off the bone soft and tender. The service was amazing and Chris seemed to really do his job well! So many nice staff members. This was a win all the way around. As somebody who has eaten a LOT of barbecue, this town may not realize how amazing this place is. Well done!

Delicious extra smoky BBQ just the way I like it! I had the brisket and pork, and both were excellent. Corn bread was also very tasty. My only complaint is I felt the Mac and cheese didn’t have very much cheesy flavor. Overall, great experience and great service.

I absolutely loved my dinner at Briquettes! Best food i’ve had in a long time. I got the pulled pork without a bun, Merlin style. Came with beet kraut, pickled onions, and citrus mustard. I think I will forever eat my BBQ this way! I dont like sweet bbq sauces (and I’m gf) so this was perfect. My husband enjoed hus meal amd several cradt beers.
Our server, Carly, was wonderful, we probably bored her to tears by being so chatty. if she was she didn’t let on! Thank you, Carly, for being a wonderful server and making our meal even more enjoyable.

Wow! Just wow. My wife and I just had dinner at Briquettes Smokehouse and it was hands down the best barbecue we’ve had in ages. The staff was incredibly courteous and professional from the moment we walked in, making the whole experience a pleasure.
We decided to go all-in and share “The Big Nasty” platter, and it was worth every single penny. Every item was cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and incredibly delicious. You can tell they are passionate about what they do.
On top of the phenomenal food, the location offers absolutely beautiful views looking out over the harbor to the lake. Amazing food, great service, and a fantastic atmosphere. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to everyone!

Cool Atmosphere and WORLD CLASS BBQ. I lived in Memphis at one point and have been in Richmond, VA for nearly 20 years. Hands down THE BEST RIBS I have ever had and living where I have I’ve had some very fine examples!
