We’ve been going here for several years since before it was remodeled, and the remodel didn’t disappoint! Their bubble tea is so good, and it can be blended or on ice and the amount of sweetness can be selected. Their homemade dumplings and sausage are very flavorful, and since expanding their menu, we tried the rice mix and beef pho, which is some of the best pho I’ve had! We also tried a cake dessert, which was expensive but worth it as it tasted as good as at a wedding! Pictured is my last meal of a blended 25% sweetness bubble tea with Boba, beef pho that was packed to go, and the cake. We’ll definitely be back!

I absolutely love the fried pork belly from here. Only place i will eat it from now. The eggroles are also the same from here. I prefer here than anywhere else. My kids will only eat eggroles from here. I love that they past down the business in the family also. Gives it way more credit. Don’t have pictures cause I ate all my food already.

I used to go to g express before this was here, I was sad when they closed, but THIS place is PHENOMENAL! I had their hmong sausage and rice. The price was amazing and the food was even better:) liked the fact I could order for pickup. Good customer service and environment. I will definitely be back often!

I was a regular customer at G-Express until it was closed (sad). But I was glad to see Bright Deli took over. Wow Bright Deli offered more menu selection than I expected for a deli. Food that I haven’t tried before such as Hmong sausage, Thai boat noodle soup, Basil stir fry, Mangonada drink, Asian fried chicken, and other food … to my surprise their food tasted good. Their steamrolls were perfect thin wrapped around, not too thick. Their sponge cakes were fresh homemade I loved it. I normally don’t eat regular American cake much but their sponge cakes I could eat as many as I wanted. I would want their sponge cake for a birthday cake. Bright Deli made me want to go back for more often. If you aren’t satisfied with their food, Bright Deli is happy to improve the food for you.

My favorite was the boba! I love how they had different sweetness options. That was perfect for me. I also really liked the ice options they have for the boba tea as well! My child who never usually drinks boba tea said she liked it for once. Probably because it wasn’t too sweet this time!
Update: loved the pad thai/kua mee for quick meal, desserts were 5/5 🙂

Bought 4 macarons and a boba tea. Very reasonably priced and though there were other customers and it was a Saturday morning, drink was ready very quickly.

Limited seating and a little cramped. Ambience felt more take out than dine in (which is to be expected since it’s a deli).

Ordered Brown Sugar Iced Boba with Boba Topping 50% sweetness. Very creamy and caramelly. Not too sweet. Tapioca wasn’t hard. Definitely order blended ice next time though so can get to tapioca without digging through ice cubes.

Green macarons (unknown fruit flavor) were a bit tough but filling was creamy and tasted good. Coconut ones were amazing – softer shells, and filling had a great chunky/creamy texture with slight chocolatey flavor.

Can’t wait to return and try the savory options!

Everything was so good! For a small deli I am stunned by the quality and presentation! I was finally able to get into the store since I live out of town. I was excited to get the crispy pork belly and thankfully I got the last piece. It was getting close to closing time. Sometimes you expect the food to be older/lesser quality towards the end of the day for a deli but this wasn’t the case for Bright Deli! The pork belly was crispy and savory! It tasted fresh still and the best part, the true Hmong pepper that comes with it. Authentic cilantro, green onion, lime, Hmong pepper! You can’t find that anywhere in town. For busy folks who don’t have the time to make it themselves, this is it!! Pepper was on point!! Sticky rice was fresh and yummy too! Secret gem here are the egg rolls!! Usually at most delis and Hmong restaurants, you don’t expect much for egg rolls. But you order anyway just to fill the “egg roll” itch that we all have. Takes too much effort to make them at home and when we do, we’re making 50+ egg rolls if you know what I mean. But at Bright Deli, their egg rolls are the secret sleeper food item I don’t think they know they have. Solid 8.5/10 for the egg rolls. Best part, they were crunchy! Like how do you keep egg rolls crunchy inside a warmer? Almost all delis I’ve ever been to, egg rolls are always soggy. Not here! Crunchy and fresh. And not greasy tasting! And it’s not all cabbage like most places. You can see meat! It’s so refreshing to eat a decent egg roll! Scratch the 8.5, it’s a 9/10 for the egg rolls! Lastly but I think even more secret sauce stuff, their dessert! I got macaroons and their cream buns. Oh-my-good-God-almighty! Just explosion of goodness in my mouth! The macaroons were so soft and yet a little crunchy. The cream buns were on point too!! And I was a little afraid the cream would be thick and too sweet, but it was more whipped and just the perfect level of sweetness! I’m a little embarrassed to say but I ate all six macaroons and the 3 cream rolls over two meals! It was carefully thought out and each bite was savored! Now I’m sad I have none left!!! Not only is it a deli but hidden bakery too!

Everything was spot on! Only criticism would be to water down the sweet and sour sauce. Just a family secret from when my family used to sell hundreds of egg rolls a week at our gas station. I thought our egg rolls were pretty good, but Bright Deli got us beat!! I’m looking forward next to try their bahn mi, pho, fried fish and Boba! And that pork belly again! The crunch!! The pepper! The sticky rice! Just too good! This is a new hidden gem in Wausau! Keep it up!!

Stopped and picked up Spicy Beef and Basil. They made an extra spicy fresh order for me and the taste was spot on. Couldn’t wait to dig in so forgot to take a photo right away!
