We came to the Brigantine after a charter and everything was absolutely amazing. There were 35 of us. They were SO accommodating, proactive in splitting checks, and incredibly attentive the entire time we were here! The Brigantine is a fantastic spot! Great food and great service!

After a day of walking around sea world we decided to get some clamp chowder and shrimp and Brigantine delivered! We ordered the clamp chowder and cocktail shrimp from the happy hour menu. There is plenty of food to share and we were happy with the quality and value. We decided to split a fish and chips plate which was also delicious. We washed it all down with some Arnold Palmers. Service was a little slow at first but when they did get to us they did a great job.

Very enjoyable late lunch at Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar. Ordered simple fare – 2 bowls of Clam chowder, an order of flatbread & an order of Calamari, accompanied by a draft Pacifico.

Portions of each item were generous, Calamari was exceptional. Pacifico was served cold and in an ice cold glass.

Our server – Carolyn, was friendly and very helpful. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, except for a very ‘lively’ large group nearby.

We were made to feel welcome and taken good care of by Brigantine staff. Restrooms were spotless and supplies were in good order.

Although we sat in the bar area, by the fireplace, the open balcony doors and afternoon breeze made for a most pleasant environment.

We received good value for our afternoon meal, in a very comfortable setting. We’ve come to expect good quality food and attentive staff at the Brigantine on Shelter Island and we weren’t disappointed.

We visited for happy hour, drawn in by the enticing menu and Brigantine’s strong reputation. While our server was friendly and attentive, unfortunately, the food and drinks left a lot to be desired. The calamari, which was recommended, was over-fried and lacked flavor—easily one of the most disappointing versions I’ve had. The margarita was difficult to drink; we ended up leaving most of it behind. The ahi slider was drenched in sauce, overpowering the tuna, and the wagyu slider was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, but fairly average. Overall, it was one of the most underwhelming dining experiences we’ve had in San Diego, and sadly, we won’t be returning. Brigantine may be the most overrated restaurant in SD.

I may be biased on the atmosphere because I’m Portuguese and the have a bunch of old pictures of the tuna boat fleet in San Diego.

The service was great. Our server was kind and helpful. He was attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

I am being really picky about the food, I think the food taste great, but the Wagyu slider and the Ahi Slider were a bit dry. We also got Surf and Turf Tacos which were good, not great.

Side note, the bartender makes a great Lemon Drop Martini.

Seafood restaurant with plenty of bar seating and tables for happy hour (outside on the second floor has views of the harbor!). Happy hour is 3pm to close on Mondays. We ordered house red wine, spinach salad, calamari, fish sandwich with fries and wagyu burger with fries. All were $7 and very good quality. The burger was tiny so I wouldn’t get it again. The service wasn’t great (we had to hunt down the waiter 3 times).

Starting from the top the restaurant greeter was more than welcoming. Our waitress started off with great customer service and explained all of the Chef’s specials. My wife got the Prime Rib and I got the fish tacos, Chef does not play when it comes to the food. Overall a great experience and the cocktails were very delicious as well.
