Bridgett’s kitchen is now, and I mean this when I say it. My favorite restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. I had ate here once before last month and was shocked to learn I hadn’t left a review. Anyway the food has been amazing both times. However what has been so much better than even the food is the interactions. They really treat you like solid gold here. Take today for example. My wife lost her voice, the person who was taking care of us literally helped her order. They are extremely kind. I ordered a few things today to try out for the purpose of this review. I got brisket burnt ends, sliced brisket, as well as a half link of the jalapeno white cheddar sausage. First off the brisket, I take in a above average amount of BBQ content. If you were to ask me I would say brisket is my favorite food. I have had it all over including Texas. As well as 7 other states so far. This is some of the best. Very tender so much so that it shreds between my fingers as you see on the video. Not dry at all though. I would eat this brisket right here every day if I could. Next the mac and cheese. It is truly the best I have ever had here, and I absolutely love mac and cheese. The burnt ends, so juicy and flavorful. Lastly the jalapeno white cheddar sausage. Absolutely delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough.

O.M.G. This place is absolutely delicious. Not gonna name drop but if you are looking for REAL SMOKE, she blows the other local smoke houses out of the water. There’s bark and tons of smoke in the pork. Potato salad is to die for, so much flavor. Tried the smoked meatloaf last time and it was not greasy or covered in ketchup. You get 2 decent sized pieces that actually have vegetables in them. It’s real, folks. I got the smoked white cheddar jalapeno sausage and it was fantastic. Not greasy, loaded with flavor. Not heavy with cheese, which is good, a little zing on the back end. Onion rings are perfect, hush puppies are very flavorful and her sauces are on point. Loosy goosey sauce is a vinegar base thin sauce with pepper, amazing. You have to get the pork rinds. They are fried fresh and seasoned perfectly. This place tastes like homemade food. If you’re looking for something that’s going to fill you up and satisfy your taste buds, try Bridgett’s. Dying to try their chicken but they’ve run out each time we’ve gone. High quality meals at a great price. We will definitely be back.

The best service I have ever had in my life! Our drinks never got half empty! Refills and asking if we needed anything constantly! And the owner was so friendly as we’re the waitresses! We were so full we couldn’t eat dessert but one waitress said let me bring you a little bite! Delicious! Fast! Attentive! Friendly! Definitely going back!

My first, but hopefully not last visit here. Absolutely delicious, with a great and friendly staff running like an extremely well oiled precision machine. You owe it to yourself to run into downtown Lexington at 206 Center St. and check this place out. Extremely well prepared and flavor rich foods. The collards are not cooked to mush and have good amounts of smoked pulled pork in them for extra seasoning. The sweet potato casserole is outstanding! You really do come Asa stranger but leave as family. Such a good engaging bunch of folk here.

Ate here for the first time on a Tuesday evening at 5:30ish. Service was wonderful. The waitress patiently answered all my many questions about the menu, made suggestions and was just so kind and helpful. Food was made right, homemade, tasted delicious with fresh ingredients and fast. Great variety of smoked meat on the menu – chicken, pork, turkey, smoked sausage. All the sides are homemade – just wonderful overall. I was very impressed with
the menu and the staff. I’ll definitely return and recommend Bridgette’s to people.

Don’t skip the desserts, you are in for a real treat!!! The peach cobbler was scrumptious!

We LOVE this restaurant. Their BBQ is some of the best we have ever had (way better than other Lexington competitors in our opinion), their hushpuppies are THE best – perfectly done. Their burgers are really good also! My stomach is growling writing this review. Delicious food and a very kind wait staff.

All around great experience here. The food was a 10/10, can’t wait to go get some more I got the brisket with collards and potato salad. My husband got the smoked wings with onion rings and sweet potato casserole. The service was impeccable. We will be back and we would highly recommend going here.

As someone with celiac disease, finding a place to eat out safely is incredibly rare but Bridgett’s Kitchen is truly a blessing.

Eating out has always been stressful for me because of the risk of cross-contamination, but from the very first visit, I felt completely at ease. Bridget and her staff are not only kind and welcoming, but they’re also extremely knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten-free needs. They understand the seriousness of it not just offering gluten-free options, but taking every step to make sure it’s safe.

They have gluten-free bread, a surprisingly large variety of GF-free menu items, and most importantly, they prepare my food separately and carefully. They even enter my order first to make sure it’s made before any of the other food hits the grill. Bridget herself always comes out to say hi and check on my husband and I when we come to eat (at least once a week) it’s just another reminder of how much she cares about her customers.

The food? Absolutely delicious. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, everything I’ve had has been full of flavor and made with love. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, and the entire staff treats you like family.

And while I can’t personally enjoy the peach cobbler, my husband swears it’s the best he’s ever had hands down. That’s saying something!

As a celiac, I can confidently say I’ve never felt safer or more cared for at a restaurant. Bridgett’s Kitchen has taken the stress out of dining out for me and that’s something I’ll always be grateful for. If you have dietary restrictions or just want amazing BBQ, Chicken, Brisket, Turkey, or MEATLOAF with heart, this place is a must-visit!

I got my food to go…first time eating from here. I got the meatloaf, baked beans and Mac and cheese. The meatloaf was just ok I tasted mostly the “binder” and smoke with a little bit of spicy? The baked beans were good but not knock your socks off and the Mac and cheese just ok. Their tea was perfectly sweet and just strong enough. I would try this place again and maybe try different items.
