Go back in time at this 1940s original. Hole in the wall dive bar and one of the only businesses in town still open. Good old fashioned cheese burger and fries under $12. Great service from the owner of the last 30 Years.

We stopped here on a whim. We were apprehensive looking at the exterior. Inside was very very rustic. The owners are super cool and friendly. We loved the double cheese burgers and onion rings. Will visit again.

The whole town takes a little getting used to. The historic brickyard tavern is one of the town’s only amenities. The old couple does the best they can. People end up with a hard attitude when others have been trying to wipe them off the map.

One of the last reminders of the town’s hay day as a brick producer. There is supposedly a large wall painting of “Ghost Riders in Sky”by one of the old local artists turned famous behind the wood in the bar. The owners are great and exactly how you’d expect them to be. Stop by and have a beer or two on your way through….
