Our server checked in multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, and our food came out in good time. The dishes were absolutely delicious—made with great-quality ingredients that really stood out. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care.
The restaurant was clean, tidy, and comfortable from start to finish. Very impressed with the experience and looking forward to going back!
One of my friends had the steak taco’s – also very delicious with a nice tang to the sauce. And my other friend had the fish and chips – very very good and a generous serving.
However, the reason for the 3-star rating is our recent takeout experience. We ordered online this past weekend, which was easy to do through their website. After waiting the recommended 40 minutes, I went to pick up the food — we only live about three minutes away — but unfortunately, everything tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. We ordered three dishes, and none of them were enjoyable enough to finish because of how stale they were, I cannot stress how old it looked and tasted.
I’m giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt since it’s still fairly new and likely working through new experiences. That said, I’d recommend dining in — the experience inside is much better than takeout.
We visited shortly after this location opened (might have even been opening weekend) as we wanted to try a new spot in New Prague. I haven’t been since, but couldn’t review it then because it wasn’t in google yet.
The service was the worst part of our evening. We sat on the patio, and my wife was 8 months pregnant at the time. We sat there for about 10 minutes, before she went to use the restroom. Upon her return a few minutes later, we hadn’t been acknowledged by a server yet, so she went back inside to ask the bartender who was serving our table. The young lady who was serving our table made an audible “I didn’t know they were my table” comment out of frustration, and proceeded to follow my wife outside. Once at our table, she didn’t greet us, offer any suggestion of food, she simply said “What can I get you?” We ordered, and when the food was brought out, we never saw our server again until we had to flag someone down for the check. Presumably the owner came back to ask how we were doing and we should have spoken up then, but I think at this point we were exhausted from sitting out in the sun and waiting so long.
The food was decent, but admittedly very disheveled. My sandwich (Chipotle Chicken) was falling apart as I tried to eat it, and my wife’s food seemed lackluster for the cost. She even ordered the Rosemary Parmesan fries, but there was little added taste to them and they were more like shoestring fries. Her Gyros had a lot of substance to them, but the pita immediately fell apart when she tried to eat it, so she ended up using her fork.
Inside the restaurant was clean and neat, and even the patio seating was nice, but the overall disappointment from the service there really put a sour note in the night. I’d like to go back and revisit it now and see if it’s any better, and would love to review it again. I do, however, hope the server has been talked to about her attitude and demeanor towards patrons.
