Wow, I found another great place to eat! This was our first time visiting the brick street restaurant and it’s not going to be the last!
The service was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. I think the hand breaded pork tenderloin was the best I ever had! The mashed potatoes are real potatoes and the gravy was delicious. We both had green beans and they were very good. What a delicious meal! Very reasonable prices as well.
The atmosphere is wonderful and antiquey. The owner was even dressed up nicely to fit the atmosphere! This is a restaurant reminiscent of the true North Vernon historical culture.

Always on the hunt for the local diner’s and restaurants with good food. Popped in brick street restaurant in North Vernon, Indiana on one of my adventures. Looking for biscuits and gravy as usual.
Super cool place with unique decor definitely a local vibe. They said biscuits are made daily from scratch and warrant bad. The gravy did not seem homemade to me. And i’m not sure about the greenery sprinkled on top. Looking around the room, there was lots of good food on plates just not sure I’ll be back for the biscuits and gravy. Finding more and more a small dinner’s using instant or canned gravy. I mean, it’s milk flour and some sausage drippings to make all the gravy you can serve, and it doesn’t take long.

For a small town with limited dining options, Brick Street is one of the better choices around. Food is decent and consistent, nothing fancy, but reliable. It does get busy around lunch, which lines up with what others say, but service stays fast and courteous even when they’re packed. It’s a casual spot that works well for a sit-down meal without having many alternatives nearby.

It was my first time there and it felt like I stepped into a diner that had been there for a hundred years. Service was good and the food was great, and the biscuits and gravy scale of one to ten, it was a nine. Had the biscuits been larger It would have been a ten all day long. The ham and cheese omelette was fluffy, and the chunky fried potatoes are crisp and delicious. My wife and I both highly recommend brick street restaurant. If you’re in North Vernon.

This place is a gem. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, classy but casual. The waitstaff is always friendly, their fast service and smiles alone is a reason to come in time and time again. The food is phenomenal. My husband and I come in a lot of the time after working and get breakfast. Bacon is perfect, pancakes are fluffy, the biscuits and gravy taste like they’re straight from my nana’s kitchen. I ordered a slice of lemon pie, and it was the absolute best I’ve ever had. If you haven’t stopped here, make the trip!

I had a wonderful meal at this quaint little restaurant in the heart of downtown. It’s located in what appears to be a historic building. The servers were delightful as was the food. I had the evening’s special, a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin with apples. I followed up this entree with a slice of their homemade chocolate pie. If ever in the area, I really recommend this establishment!
