This place was a surprise in such a great way. From the street it looked so small but it’s definitely not. I make my own pizza and their crust was excellent. They serve a whole wheat (which we did not try) and there regular which clearly had a little whole wheat in it. They make their own crust (delicious) the hot wings which where crispy but not too spicy to my taste. I fully enjoyed our quick stop and would recommend Brick Oven Pizza wholeheartedly.

Staff was a bit rude, when I asked how an appetizer of mushrooms was prepared the waitress was short and dismissive. They never once checked on me. The mushrooms were incredibly mediocre and not worth bothering. Maybe if the waitress engaged in a slight degree with the customer I could have figured this out before hand. Pizza was good, but poor service.

Let me start by saying I hate giving less than 5 stars to small businesses. We had 2 small pizzas, one gluten free and one “meats.” The food here was pretty good, even the gluten free version according to my wife. The pizza sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but that’s a personal preference.

One of our favorite stops on all visits to Kauai, Brick Oven Pizza is THE BEST PIZZA on Kauai. Their toppings are generous and the ham and black olive toppings I had on my pizza were more flavorful than any pizza I’ve had on the mainland USA, and I am 77 years old. I’ve had a lot of pizza. My wife has to have extra cheese, which we got aplenty, and it was delicious. Most mainland pizza joints charge you for the extra cheese but don’t deliver. Brick Oven does not disappoint. Well done folks!

Pizza was great! Tons of toppings and a crispy crust. The garlic cheese bread was also covered in a ton of cheese. Everything was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. No AC which is typical for Hawaii, but the windows provide a nice breeze. Highly recommended.

Brick Oven is best pizza in the state. If you like the crust on pizza, I don’t know what they do, but it’s got great flavor, not overcooked, but just right. And all the fresh toppings you could ask for. And best of all, the staff is always happy.
