Usually have about a 10-20 minute wait for a table for four, and as expected, shorter for a table for two.
A very calm and friendly atmosphere and the staff is top notch and efficient, visiting your table for drinks shortly after being seated.
Good selection of appetizers and the main course food menu is not huge and confusing, but a delicious selection of sandwiches and pork and fish (my focus) meals.
The blackened tilapia is one of my go to meals as is the drunken apple pork chops, thick and cooked perfectly, wrapped in bacon with sweet potato fries (my choice for side).
You won’t be disappointed here. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and reasonable prices. One of my favorite pubs.
I recently dined for dinner and was impressed with the seamless operation. My fish taco, paired with sweet potato fries, showcased fresh ingredients and solid technique. The staff here truly stands out; their amazing attentiveness and genuine hospitality make every guest feel valued. This efficiency, combined with a quick turn-around on orders, is what keeps both locals and tourists coming back. It’s also a place I’d bring my own family – it’s very kid-friendly, even if they don’t stock highchairs.
This is a place that understands its market and consistently delivers. Parking is easy, a big plus in any downtown area, and you can expect about a 15-minute wait which speaks to its popularity. I’d absolutely return. And speaking of highlights, if you’re looking for a signature dish that really embodies their approach, “The Western Burger” is absolutely worth trying.
helping out. If you want to try a food place in the area look no further, because this is the best.
Food was so so, waitress was polite and good. Took forever for bartender to make our drinks. Not sure I’ll go back.
You see, I stay close enough to the pub to hear the bass from their music. In fact, on a Sunday night last month (usually closed), there was a private party that THUMPED music until 2 am. Then, once we finally fell asleep, the music came blaring back on at 4 am. We couldn’t help wonder if this use had been authorized, and if perhaps drugs were involved.
Nevertheless, as I stay this close, it’s really hard NOT to patronize this place.
Last Saturday, we were deep into a home project, and my gal was very tired and very HANGRY. So, I offered to get her a burger from the B&M Pub.
I went to the bar where I’d usually sit and order a beer while I waited for take out. Tonight, I just didn’t have the time.
First off, the bartender did not greet me. That just doesn’t fly for me. Especially since my manager from historic Pearl’s Restaurant & Bar (Boulder, Colorado), Fred, way back when told me to grow eyes in the back of my darn head or he’d fire me! I learned quick to notice all that happened in our establishment.
I watched the bartender make several drinks for tables, go serve those drinks (where are the servers??), and then saunter back to her register where she fiddled around with her back to me for 3 minutes or so.
When she finally did acknowledge me, I hurriedly ordered a pub burger with no cheese and no veggies, medium rare. I order it this way EVERY TIME because my gal only likes American cheese on her burger (they don’t offer it). As we are merely steps away, she puts cheese on and doctors it up when I get back.
I waited and waited—it was Saturday night. However, it seemed like it was taking too long, and I was forced to ask the bartender to check on it. I wasn’t surprised when she returned with it—ready to go. I couldn’t help but wonder how long it had sat.
I rushed back. My gal opened the to-go container and said, “What’s this?? Where’s my bun?? And because there was no bun, the burger juice and grease had soaked her fries.
I went back. The bartender watched me as I walked briskly to the end of the bar. She stared at me and then LOOKED AWAY! What did she think I was doing back here??
I waved her over vigorously, and told her we didn’t get a bun with our HAMBURGER, and as a result, the fries got soggy from the burger juice. Before I could even finish, she shouted childishly, “YOU SAID NO BUN!!”
Really?
I asked for my gal’s order to be ruined? When she’s HANGRY no less? You know, because I LIKE losing my man parts. Sure. That’s what said.
She beelined for the owner and told her that I had specifically said NO BUN. She didn’t realize that I followed her and I said, “I most certainly DID NOT.”
The owner, Julie, turned to me and said you are being rude. To which I replied, Y’all make A LOT of mistakes here. If notifying you that you’ve made our order wrong (inexplicably wrong I might add), and waving down your inattentive bartender is being RUDE, well SO BE IT! That’s me I guess!
She told the kitchen to make a new burger.
When it was ready, I rushed back again, and felt really, really stupid for not checking it. Because it was a juicy hamburger, NO BUN, and soggy fries. AGAIN!
I’M NOT MAKING THIS UP!!
So, this time I called on the phone and explained the mistake yet again. Once again, I went down to retrieve our food.
This time, I heard the owner specifically ask the cook, why do keeping making this burger with no bun?? And no kidding he says, I’m sorry, THAT’S MY FAULT.
But wait! The childish bartender had screamed defiantly that I had said, “NO BUN!” Or did I??
This place is MISMANAGED, the food is MEDIOCRE at best, the prices are HIGH, and the service POOR. The staff lacks training and direction because the owner/manager is NO MANAGER, and has NO BUSINESS in business, let alone in a SERVICE industry. She acts entitled and petty, and therefore lacks the ability to truly SERVE anyone.
