Today, 1/3/26, we came for the soup run, sat down for soup, and got “no soup for you!” Outside of this, this is an excellent place to eat. I’ve never had a bad meal here. It’s a nice, relaxing place with decent people working there. I hope to frequent here more in 2026.

Went there on a Friday around 5 PM and there were not too many people there, we got seated right away. We were given our Friday menu. I asked if they had any tap beer and they said they do not since Covid. We proceeded to order an old fashion with club soda and a point Amber and some cheese curds. Later we ordered a BLT and a side potato and a combo catfish and shrimp with red potatoes. Not a fan of an overly weak old fashioned. The food was ok however the catfish was excellent!

First time visiting Brian and Wendy’s Hiawatha. We are spending the weekend on the WI River with other family.
Overall the Hiawatha was good. Everyone said their fish was good. I had the Catfish – outstanding – very clean tasting unlike some other restaurants where it didn’t taste as clean/fresh. The kids all had the chicken tenders – they ate them all and no complaints from the kids.
I had both an old fashioned and a bloody Mary – both were good and no complaints.

Great new place we discovered in Junction City. Parmesan shrimp, Cajun catfish, roasted baby reds with onion dip and seafood chowder were all delicious! Friendly service and nice atmosphere. We’ll be back.

Beware the 5 percent fee!
Loved the Cajun Catfish. It could have been a bit spicier for my taste, but most people would say it was just right. My wife had shrimp which was also very good. Service was great. Seating was a bit tight together.
My complaint is the 5 percent added to the bill for using credit. By law they’re not supposed to charge more than their provider charges them, so I really doubt that 5 percent is legal. It’s not like their prices are cheap to start with, so either come with lots of cash, or be prepared for additional charges.

Brian and Wendy have a fantastic place here. We have been to the Hiawatha a few times and have eaten here too. The food is wonderful, my favorite are the burgers. The staff is excellent and the dining area was recently upgraded with more tables so seating is a breeze. I would recommend stopping here for a cold drink or tasty food with great service!
