We had a fantastic meal along with stellar wine last night. This is a great place in upscale Woodinville for a lovely evening out. We all enjoyed the Confit Duck Leg, Squid Ink Pasta, and the Short Rib. Jeff was our server and helped us with the best wine pairings. The chef is very talented and I’m glad there’s another great place for a lovely dinner in Woodinville.

It starts with the atmosphere when you walk in the door. The place has the look of a high end tasting room – an elegantly lit wall of polished, shiny wine glasses waiting to be filled with Brian Carter’s fine work on your left, an inviting tasting bar straight ahead and a wall of wine to your right tempting you to go home with some of the Northwest’s most finely crafted wines. In the middle is ample seating in an open but intimate space. But then, the smell from chef Nicholas Ames outstanding kitchen hits you. In our case that evening, the smell of drawn butter and lobster hinted at the soup special of the day, lobster consume. After being seated you sample your way through the tasting menu confirming that you made a good choice to stop in and check out Brian’s wines. Our server. Tamara, was attentive, pleasant and very helpful. And, as is often the case, the man himself, Brian Carter, comes around to chat with you at your table checking to see how you are enjoying your visit. The Brian Carter tasting room in downtown Woodinville is way beyond the average wine tasting stop due to the amazing kitchen supporting an elevated dining experience coupled with quality wines. I mean, come on! Braised short ribs or confit duck leg paired with the petit verdot-heavy Trentenaire. Or the cow’s milk cheese plate with the semillon/Sav blanc blend, Desir? Do yourself a favor and find an open evening to savor this exquisite gem in downtown Woodinville.

Went on a lovely Saturday night and enjoyed all the amazing reds. Brian himself came by the table and chatted with us about the wines, which was a cool experience. You do not have to talk to him for long to realize the passion he has for his craft. Also had great food and live music! Will for sure be back many more times.

Our new favorite winery in Woodincreek Village!
They said “award for best chef” and they weren’t kidding. Our appetizers were everything and more and paired perfectly with our signature tasting. It’s so rare to have a tasting flight that I actually loved all the wines in. Took home a bottle of their white from the signature tasting list. Was soooo good!!
Recommend the hamachi and chefs choice of cheeses. The point Reyes bleu cheese was out of this world. Perfect for a light Sunday lunch. Patio was perfect. We came a little before the music but was still just as nice❤️ thank you to our server Jeff. So knowledgeable about the wines and explained them so well. Can’t wait to come back!

My favorite hangout for superb wine, outstanding food and the occasional acoustic music. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive and engaging. Personal favorite wine is a bottle of Tuttorosso to accompany Chef Nick Ames delicious and attractive plates. Nick updates his menu every week and the food is a bargain for the quality of his offerings.

Very friendly service. Jeff was very knowledgeable of the wines, regions, grapes and vintage. He explained every wine in my tasting menu with details beyond the printed menu.
I went for the traditional tasting menu. My favorite was the TuttoRosso (all red in italian).. a Tuscan based blend with Sangiovese, Cab and Syrah from PNW. Brian Carter is renowned for their blends. On their tasting menu, the reds have an Italian based, a Spaniard based and a French based blend. So give them a try.
We came for wine with intentions to go somewhere else for dinner. The live music, service and food menu made us stay here. The charcuterie and cheese table was phenomenal. Very generous portions of cheese! The grilled octopus on a tomato and fava beans bed was very tasty. Our pana cotta was as good as in Italy.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed live music, people watching and a surprisingly nice long afternoon that made us wonder why we have not come here more often!
