Great spot to grab a drink, pours are light but whatever. Great steak sandwich on the new menu. Appetizers are pretty good too. Problem is the new MGMT. I’ve Been trying to book an event here for past 3 weeks without a response. I’ve booked the upstairs banquet room at least 4 times in the past 6 years. 70-100 people. Spending between 10-15k. And they don’t return my calls or emails. Good luck Brewsters, moving on.

We went there for the Saturday night prime rib and ribeye steak specials. Both our meats were cooked to temperature and had good flavor. The garlic mashed potatoes were quite flavorful and buttery, it complemented the meats well. It also came with a side salad and sauteed veggies (these were fine). Side salad had awesome garlic croutons, tasted house-made. We also tried the chicken lettuce cups, it was tasty with nice balance of heat and acidity, and the shredded coconut added a subtle sweetness. Our server Robert was friendly and attentive, and made great recommendations for what to order.
The interior of the place looked nice too; there was a mix of vintage and contemporary decor, I particularly liked the tin ceiling contrasted with the old wooden floors. Lighting wasn’t harsh, it made the place look warm. We enjoyed our dinner here and will come again if we’re in the area.

Went to dinner with my son and his wife for a late Christmas get together on a Wednesday. I knew it wouldn’t be too busy in the middle of the week, but it was dead dead. We were the only table in the place at 630p until another family showed up. I picked this place after having been a former resident of Galt and thought they had a good variety in the menu. I was shocked to see 8 only items available on the menu now! My son and my husband ordered cocktails, which were good. Service seemed quick at the time, but with zero other tables in the restaurant, I’d certainly hope so. We ordered 2 appetizers. My meal came with a salad, I got that pretty quickly. We all chatted for a while and then after a bit came our meals: no appetizers! My son was really looking forward to the Brie that never came! We were so distracted by the conversation that we really didn’t notice the appetizers not coming, until the entrees were delivered. “Oh I guess we aren’t getting the appetizers,” we said. When asked that of the server she seemed apologetic. No harm, we now have our entrees. Three of us got the Cajun chicken, which is made with chicken thighs, not breasts. My husband’s was a bit rubbery and he didn’t finish it. I got the Cajun pasta, which I remembered was pretty good. I ate some, and let hubby finish it off. Then came a dessert (complimentary I suppose for the snafu of the appetizers) and the check. When asked if there was anything else we would like, I did say, “I was interested in the dessert menu.” They have 3 items. A banana butter cake thing and 2 deep fried things-one was a deep fried Oreo. I asked for another of the banana cakes for the table. When it came time to pay, I placed my card on the tiny clipboard, along with a $50 bill, which I had planned to ask to break for the tip, but the server swooped it up without asking. When she came back, she had applied $50 cash to the bill and the balance on my card. I’m a former server, and I 100% would’ve asked if the party wanted the cash broken before assuming cash first then balance on a card. Overall, a very weird and disappointing visit to Brewster’s and I doubt I’ll go back under the current owners. Sad times for us. When leaving my son actually said, “Well that was a really funny experience.”

The atmosphere is a lot better than it used to be. I really loved my time here this time. It was really great and we loved the outdoor seating opposed to indoor. The weather was wonderful and me and my friend Marla had a great time. Our service was provided by Victor a real good looking kid, Marla and I both thought. The drink’s were great too! Lol

Made reservations after a wine tasting, glad we did ( not sure how busy they get but we wanted in). We had the steak special, . Plenty of good food, friendly service & the price was reasonable with a adult drink included. Food was so good I took a plate to go for work lunch. There a nice wine cellar view just look down in front of the bar. Friendly locals. Highly recommend trying this spot, they serve wine so after wine tasting, you can continue here. Went back today 08/15/2022 & the place doesn’t disappoint. Our server I believe her name was gracy, very attentive & helpful with menu choices. The food was amazing had the venetian chicken very delicious & my wife had the pasta with shrimp very good flavorings. Gonna go back to try more of the menu.
