My wife and I made a reservation since we were staying at Hotel Ivy. When we arrived for our reservation, there was no one at the hostess stand. Eventually the bartender had to come over in order to greet us and take us to our table. We ordered the ahi tuna as well as the burrata salad for appetizers, then we ordered the shrimp scampi and the short rib for the entree.
The ahi tuna bowl had good flavor, balance of the citrus with the soy and fish was comparable to a poke bowl. The burrata salad had a high quality cheese, but the salad had apples similar to that of filling for a pie which was mushy, would definitely have benefited from a crisp Granny Smith instead.
The entrees unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The shrimp scampi honestly tasted like butter noodles with shrimp, you couldn’t taste any wine, citrus, or garlic flavor. The shrimp at least were cooked well. The short rib itself was fork tender, but the flavor was similar to a Mexican molé instead of a classic short rib sauce. The polenta was also old…it had large dry chunks and no creaminess I would expect for this dish. It tasted similar to reheated day old cheese grits.
Unfortunately overall this place missed the mark. Convenient if you’re already staying at the hotel, but would not seek out otherwise.

We ate here while we had a staycation at Hotel Ivy last fall and I am not sure why it has such good reviews – I was not impressed. The service was not an issue and the decor was cozy but that’s where the good ends.
We started off with the wings, which were good (if I found myself back here, I’d just get two orders of wings and call it a day) but the entrees were not. I got the skirt steak medium rare, but it came out blue, not even rare, and when I sent some of the slices back, they just seared the outside and the interior was still nearly raw. They may not have a thermometer in the kitchen. My girlfriend got the caesar, which was fine, but again did not impress.

Bar Edera is a great late night option for dining and drinks. Food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts. Samantha was a wonderful sever and the drinks were delicious. Will definitely return.

Lovely experience dining for Valentine’s Day. We were visiting town for the weekend and it was important to find a place that could offer romantic atmosphere, good cocktails, and a vegetarian option(s) for the menu – and they had a delicious winter squash risotto as a vegetarian entree in the pre fixe menu! The beets and flowers salad was next level incredible. Their regular menu was also available and appeared to have a few options.

One of the best restaurants inside a hotel that I have had the pleasure of dining, Breva had friendly service and a contemporary ambiance. The chicken wings were some of the most unique I ever had – highly recommend them. The smoked Walleye dip was delicious. Cocktails were great as well.

Just spent the most wonderful evening at Breva Bar & Grill! We had their pre fixe Thanksgiving dinner which included a turkey breast filled with stuffing, a fantastic sweet potato casserole, and green beans. We also were treated with the most incredible server, Dahlia. What an infectious smile and warm welcome. She definitely made out dinner fabulous. Can’t forget the pumpkin cheesecake! Thank you, Dahlia and the rest of the Breva staff.

The experience was more than I expected. I had the price fixe lunch. Great value! I had the burger and the side Caesar. The croutons on the salad were still warm from the oven. The salad was dressed appropriately. The burger had a wonderful sauce on it. Th me meal was accompanied with a Bent Paddle IPA. Excellent combination! Cynthia was very attentive but not intrusive. The whole lunch was a delightful midday break.

Excellent experience. The atmosphere was incredible. Very upscale and unique to a hotel bar and grill. The food was packed with flavor. The staff here was very attentive and incredibly nice! Come for dinner. Very good experience. Even with staff walking out in the kitchen, they still provided all they could and made our night one to remember. The drinks were very nice. Lots of options for the bar tender to make. She did an incredible job for my fiancé’s mock tail. (she doesn’t much care for alcohol.) we had the rigatone bolegnese, and the shrimp scampi. Both were incredibly delicious. The 3 layer cake was super yummy. Do yourself a favor, these guys are waiting for your business.
