Best place we ate in Wilmington! Outstanding service…attentive and charismatic. Great venigarette on house salad, house bread was warm and delicious, drumfish was cooked well while asparagus had a delightful smoky flavor. Scallops were perfect accompanied by an outstanding sauce…rich and flavorful.
First old fashioned had too many muddled cherries but the second one was perfect! wife really enjoyed the wine our server provided (dark hair, man bun). Peppery and better than most in the area.

What a great restaurant. The menu changes every week. It’s not a large place and we came on a Sunday night because reservations on a Saturday were 2 months out. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

My first time dining here was earlier tonight with my husband. We both got the same seared scallops special which was really tasty. We started out with a crab dip that I will most definitely be returning for. We also tried their fried avocados, which isn’t something I typically would pick but they were surprisingly good. We ate so much, didn’t have room for any desert. But the blueberry cobbler sounded yummy. Definitely a great spot for a date or just a super nice dinner experience. Very cozy feel.

Absolutely the best Ribeye steak I’ve ever had…The appetizers, desserts and drinks are all excellent. Quality ingredients and beautiful presentations. The service was impeccable. Our entire experience was fine dining at its best. Please give Brent’s a try. You’ll be glad you did.

I tried Brent’s Bistro on 3/3/24. I did not have reservations, and I was sat immediately. I may have got lucky, so it is probably a good idea to make a reservation.
We started with the crab dip. It was fantastic. It was loaded with crab with a lovely browned cheese topped with diced tomatoes and chives. Most crab dips that I try are loaded with mayo and not crab. Not this one. This is crab-forward and the best I have ever had.
After the crab dip, we tried some salads. We ordered the house salad and the sweet pea salad. Both were excellent. I got ranch dressing with the house salad. It was homemade dressing.
For our main dishes, we ordered the unique Grilled Mahi w/a honey almond basil pesto rub Served over Spinach risotto, Finished bruschetta tomatoes & balsamic, and the *Salmon Piccata: Sauteed salmon topped with a classic lemon caper sauce served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Both dishes were fantastic. I do have to say that the risotto that came with the special was undercooked. Still, they handled it very well by immediately replacing it with some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had, so I did not ding them on the stars because it is undeniable their food is five stars. A note for wine drinkers is at least for our first visit, the amount they pour for a glass is very generous.
As mentioned, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. This is a must-try if you visit or Live in the area.

Love this restaurant!! Every time I go to Wrightsville Beach have to make a reservation here – our favorite waiter- Wayne! Very personable and attentive – and the food is always fabulous – they change the menu each week so their is something different to try each time – one of our favorites is the Blue Corn Crusted Avocado Appetizer and finish with a Key Lime Pie! Could not recommend a better place! Thanks for making our visits to your restaurant always so enjoyable!

Came here for my dad’s birthday dinner. It was not crowded with it being a weeknight, but we did have a reservation. Our server was Bart and he was great!
The only complaint I have is that the bottle of wine we ordered was very cold, like it had been in a refrigerator. We waited a while to drink it and ended up taking half a bottle home with us to drink it when it was not so cold.
Overall the food was great, as a vegetarian I was satisfied with my meal. Their bread & butter is amazing as well.

Cool eclectic farmhouse atmosphere. Very wide ranging menu with unusual offerings. The Blueberry Hush Puppies were absolutely Devine-unlike anything we’ve ever tried-best with the honey butter imo. Enjoyed a cappuccino and tried their twist on the Monte Cristo . Well worth a visit-even to enjoy the atmosphere!
