I tried the tres leches here, and it was just okay. The flavor and texture were average — nothing special. The portion was also quite small, which made it even more disappointing.
For the price they charge, I expected much better quality and at least a decent quantity. Overall, it felt too expensive for what you get.

The food at Brenda’s is always excellent. This is the second location I’ve visited, the first being on Hwy 6 across from HEB. Both places the food and service do not disappoint. And the wait staff is bilingual and can answer any questions you might have about the menu. A great place for dinner with the family.

I wish I wasn’t driving around looking for sweet plantains but I was and I figured there was no way this place could mess them up. I saw the reviews and I knew not to eat the chicken or the beef. It was just like the other reviews said, empty on a Friday night, but I tried to get them to go and saw the photos online and they looked good but what I got was all wrong. They tasted like they either came out of a can or went bad, were not sweet at all, dry… it was a waste of money. I also ordered churros which were the saving grace. The waitress was nice at least. The menus are dirty like the other reviews mentioned, there are buckets of clean up water on the counter, it was smelly and the front door smelt like someone was was smoking weed. Not a place for a date or kids. Basically a big, empty dump.

Had a good experience walking into this place. I was attended to by the waitress within a couple of minutes and was taken to the table immediately. My drink and chips with salsa and a green dip arrived very shortly. I ordered shrimp and fish tacos to try. I loved the way it was prepared and tasted very good. I preferred the shrimp one more than the fish. The service was good and friendly with a smile. No surprises there.
The place looked very clean and the atmosphere nice with just a few tables taken by other customers. This place is open 24 hours so if one is looking for a bite and a drink this would be an ideal place to pay a visit if nearby.
The restrooms were very clean, however just one thing to mention here, the automated touch free tissue disposal did not work. Luckily I was wearing jeans so no issue there wiping my hands on the back of it after washing my hands. When you eat tacos you sure need to wash your hands.
All in all a good experience and this place is worth coming back to.

Got 2 breakfast tacos. Just lacks flavor. Might help cooking with Fiesta brand Fajita Seasoning – that will help. Chorizo & egg on a flour tortilla was bland. The Bacon & egg was better because of the bacon. It’s lunchtime and it’s dead in here. Maybe next time.

I came by and tried the vegetarian burrito. It actually wasn’t bad. I like the music they play. The atmosphere is also very laid back. I went during the day so I’m not sure how it is a night. I would go back. The waitress was really attentive and nice.

Sylvia was amazing. So sweet. The food was so GOOOOOOOOODDD, we had the Ke Gus tacos, with refried beans and rice. The salsa’s were just as great. OMG you must stop here to eat. The establishment is clean and well maintained. When I’m home back in Texas this is where I will stop each and every time!!! Thank you for such great service and amazing food!!

I wasn’t going to do this but this is my third time ordering from this place and it’s been horrible each time so here I am. The first time I came late at night around midnight and since they are 24 hours I was expecting it to be regular service. When I walked in nobody was there but it looked like there was a huge birthday party that had just got done because there was trash food and the place of junkie everywhere. None of the tables were cleaned and food was still left half eaten on the tables. I waited about 15 to 20 minutes by the bar and nobody came up to me or even said hello.. a few of the girls saw me but they were busy doing whatever they were doing and just ignored me…so of course I left. The second time I came and ordered a margarita and two tacos. The tacos were dry and the margarita tasted like a slushie w no tequila. I was never going to come back but the third time my job just so happened to order everybody plates from here and I didn’t really have a choice so I ended up ordering the 3 piece quesabirrilla plate. When I grabbed my styrofoam to go box with my name on it I opened up to see styrofoam covered tacos from the bottom of my plate, it was burned open and the tacos looked cancerous.. I was scared to eat it. Being hungry and starving I went ahead and took a bite so I could leave yall this wonderful review. I should have known not to even eat one because I ended up getting sick but to began…the tacos were hard and I could taste the styrofoam going down my throat. They were dry and there was no queso in the taco there was nobody birria sauce and it tasted crazy. I ate one out of three and now I’m holding my stomach…I took a picture so you guys don’t think I’m being dramatic. Brenda’s come on guys you need to do better but I guess it doesn’t matter because I won’t be going back. Cancer covered dry tacos for the L.

Good value variety Mexican/Tex-Mex food with a big menu. Friendly and attentive service. I usually order tostadas and tacos al carbon, and maybe a chorizo queso flameado and a margarita. There’s live music in the evenings. I’ll have to check it out soon.
