A cozy place to eat with a friend or your family my mom and I just left here and the steak sandwich was so damn delicious, the shrimp and grits were so delicious we love EVERYTHING we ordered! I will definitely pre-order, this place was booked I promise you, if you want a homemade plate of food, this is definitely the place to go and order!

The owner, LaCole, is super sweet, and very welcoming. The chef is simply amazing and is a gifted cook.. The food is absolutely amazing.. I’m a foodie so I would know lol. I had the Salmon Club….baybeeee…the flavors and seasoning are out of this world! Cooked to perfection!!! Anytime I come to Akron and she’s open I’m there! Thanks for making my tummy happy! The food was excellent. Very flavorful to the point where no extra seasoning needed. The portions were great. I do wish the home fries were sliced and fried with onions but the cubed were good. My veggie omelet had to be by far one of the best I’ve ever had. The collard greens inside, took it to another level. I am a carnivore but this omelet didn’t even make me miss the meat. My husband loved his sausage and gravy biscuit meal as well. He said he could taste the homemade in every bite. OH! The grits were the perfect consistency because I could eat them with a fork! lol The aesthetics lacked a bit, but I’ll give her a pass because I know she’s still building her empire. And it didn’t affect the love and flavor that was in our food! LaCole is a sweetheart and our server was very nice too.

Sadly disappointed! I wanted to really like this place as breakfast is my favorite kind of food and it’s black owned! The staff was friendly.
When I ordered 2 biscuits and shrimp and grits. My biscuits were not done- I’m assuming they don’t have an oven and cooked them on the flat top. The shrimp and grits are for a 4oz container- mostly shrimp & butter and little grits. Definitely was not fresh. I went during a week day during the day- maybe it was a bad day. Either way I was disappointed.

Mannnn listen…this food was AMAZINGGGGG!!! Do not be deceived! Literally everything was phenomenal. We got the veggie omelet with pancakes and sausage, and the fish shrimp & grits. It came with so much food oh my God. Did I say it was good . We will be back for sure!

Homemade, delicious breakfast! Not from the area, was in town for a wedding and found this on google and was not disappointed.! A beautiful, red hair young lady greeted us almost immediately and sat us. The other lovely young lady made sure to check on us and take our dirty dishes and we finished.
The owner and her cook were also cooking and communicating with us as well!
My gps informed me, “i arrived” and i wasnt sure what the place was because I didnt see the name on the building from afar, so i attached a picture of what the place looks like to help anyone not from the area in the future.
Everyone seemed in good spirits and this lady KNOWS what shes doing so, if your looking to support a growing small business and have a taste for some good ol, southern type breakfast, this is the place. Ate breakfast at 11am. It is now 4 pm and i still have half an omelet left!
Didnt post the menu as she have some items not posted so dont be afraid to ask questions.

I had been meaning to stop by here because the menu looked so good and finally got an opportunity today (with my mom and sister-my mom and aunt had come a week or two before and raved about how good it was!). So glad I came and I will be back. The food is ridiculously good. Every.single.thing (and I was trying stuff off other plates lol). The atmosphere is cozy and everyone was so welcoming and kind. The young lady who took care of our table was on top of everything and did a fantastic job. There was another super friendly lady in there who greeted us so warmly and had the most beautiful smile and was steady engaging the guests in there. The chef, and owner, is AMAZING! Her food is soooooo good I can’t even tell you in words. She was so very nice as well and she deserves to be spotlighted on the front page of a cooking magazine or something because the way she runs her business is top notch having such delicious food and bringing in people that only support the positive energy felt in there. Even the other guests were friendly and greeted us when we came in. You get A LOT of food for a more than fair price. If you are reading this review, please stop in, I promise you won’t regret it!

A good friend invited me to Breakfast in Bed by LaCole today — and let me tell you, I’ve officially found my new favorite breakfast spot in Akron. Hands down!!
The food was absolutely fire. I ordered the fish & grits, and every single bite delivered. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, the toast and eggs were spot-on, and the potatoes were cooked just right — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. It honestly brought a tear to my eye and transported me straight back to breakfast at my grandma’s table.
But that crispy fish? That was the star of the show, baby!! Golden, perfectly seasoned, fried to perfection — the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it.
Everything on my plate was delicious, and the service was just as impressive — warm, welcoming, and attentive without missing a beat. You can taste the love in the food and feel the hospitality in the room.

When I say I had an out out body experience, I mean it. Came recommended by friend/co-worker. We ordered take out at work. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the amazing staff. Everyone all agreed hands down the BEST breakfast spot we’ve had in the Akron area without a doubt! I made sexy time noises eating it was that good. I will be back to eat the entire menu.
