Breadman’s was introduced to me by a good friend about 12yrs ago. We always meet there anytime we want to catch up. Whether the mood calls for Breakfast, lunch or Dinner, they have a good variety to choose from and never been disappointed. The staff are very nice& respectful! And the cooks in the back are definitely my kind of people.

We had breakfast at Breadman’s, 2 custom veggie omelets and 1 farmers omelet. All were boring. Fruit sides did not taste fresh. Country fries were boring too. Toast lacked taste and was too dry. Atmosphere was nice.

I’ve been eating there for years… just as good as my first visit. While some meals are better than others, I’ve never had bad meal in several hundred visits. And I’m difficult to please!!!

We opted for a local restaurant for breakfast on our weekend stay. This restaurant has been open since 1974, so it comes across as family owned (but not sure). It was a busy Sunday morning, but we did not have a long wait.

Once escorted to our table, I was admittedly disappointed about the seating. The booth had large tears in both seats, and I was put off by that. I ordered hot tea and was brought just a generic (Pekoe, black tea). If a person orders hot tea please note that they are a consistent tea drinker and that this is not a great tea to serve. It would be nice to have an English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Oolong or even Irish Breakfast (last two very bold) to choose from.

Breakfast was tasty and satisfying. I would come again, but recommended updates/repairs to furniture and some upgrades to the menu.

It appears that the management no longer watches the staff (and the staff are problematic). We went there last Saturday at 7:30 PM for dinner. We were turned away because “the dining room is closed”. There were 4 tables with people eating. They’re scheduled to be opened for several more hours. We also went there a couple months prior and the staff decided to close mid-day and put a hand written closed sign on the door. The last time we went there and was “allowed” to eat, the food wasn’t very good. I had been going there at the old location for 30+ years. It’s a shame to see it decline so poorly. It makes be wonder if the owner ever steps into the restaurant anymore.

Fun, old school joint with cheap food and beer pitched at the young at heart. Had some amazing fried okra, which is a sign of good health for what they do. If you want a solid plate of BBQ, breakfast for dinner, and a local booster atmosphere aimed at college town pride, look no further. A classic. Hoping there’s a choice of an IPA next time though 😉

It is too bad something is happening to make this place decline. The facility is becoming rundown and dirty. The staff, while never very friendly, is not showing up. We have been going the Breadman’s for a long time. We try to sit outside when the weather is nice. The food is usually good, but the service is always average at best. If you want sunny disposition, this is not your place. Last evening was very bad service and the facility was not very clean. It is leading us not to return.

If you’re looking for a waffle that tastes like a corn dog…Boy is this the place for you! Idk what they put in the batter, but it tastes like corn mill. Even the color is bizarre, let alone the taste. (Thumbs down emoji) I sent it back and got a blueberry pancake, but even that was a bit mundane. The one thing I can say was good was the sweet tea. Other than that, nothing too convincing about this place. Atmosphere is just ok. But the staff was nice. All in all…I’d rather eat elsewhere. Maybe they’re better at lunch/dinner food. Not sure I’ll be going back to find out. Prices are affordable, so there’s that atleast.

A Carolina staple. Not the original owner Roy any longer but they’ve kept his menu, replicate it well, and I am grateful it’s still open! A fave for brunch! (Especially for a misplaced Northerner missing a diner).

Super delicious and the staff was so accommodating when I requested substitutes in my meal. They were so busy (there will almost always be a wait in the morning) because the food is so good, but the service was quick and the staff is extremely kind.
