A little hole-in-the-wall spot next to Target. If you drive fast you might miss it. We ordered three foods but I’m going to talk about just one, pan-jjajangmien.
By far, without a doubt, the best jjajang mien I’ve ever had.
You can feel how it was prepared with such care & planning.
Vusual: nice amount of muscles & climbs on top. It wasn’t dripping with wet sauce.
Portion: jangban (pan) noodles are usually large, but this was tidy & medium portion. Perfect for small sharing or for one.
Color: nice shiny black of jjajang, not milk chocolate color.
Flavor: The flavor is the bomb. Nice hint of bulmat (fire grilled flavor). Not sweet. Not oily. Not watery.
NOODLE: The noodle is the best al dente noodle of all my noodle experience. Chewey, bouncy, springy, but soft enough. Without a lot of oil, the sauce beautiful coated the noodle. Just Chewing alone made me happy.
It was more like the best jjajang pasta I’ve ever had. When I was paying my bill I complemented the noodle to our server and he told me he makes the noodles from scratch everyday himself! This young man looked no more than 25 – 30. What an incredible talent and dedication. I’m definitely going back to try all of their menu!!
The receptionist was friendly and the food was prepared promptly and I took off in no time.
This is the first time trying out this place but i felt like the fried rice was a little bit more on the greasy side.
You be the judge and see if that cooking oil was overly excessive.
My daughter’s favorite food is jjajangmyeon, so we were so happy to see a Korean-style Chinese restaurant open near our home.
The service was amazing. We came with my husband and our two kids, and without us even asking, they brought extra small bowls for sharing. When you go out to eat with kids, little things like that mean so much.
Jjajangmyeon was only $12, so I thought the portion might be small. We ordered two jjajangmyeon, orange chicken, jjamppong, and wonton soup just in case—but wow, the portions were very generous. Usually at this price, jjajangmyeon is only enough for a kid, but there was so much that I even had some left to eat myself.
The jjamppong had plenty of seafood and a clean, refreshing broth. The wonton soup might not be for everyone since it’s not the typical style—it had vegetables and egg in the broth, with shrimp and pork dumplings inside. I personally loved it because I’m a big fan of shrimp & pork dumplings. They were chewy and very tasty.
Lastly, we ordered orange chicken, but tangsuyuk came out instead. When we told them, they fixed the order right away— and gave us the tangsuyuk for free. Seriously, thank you!! I actually wanted to try tangsuyuk too
It wasn’t hard or chewy like some places—freshly fried, crispy, and really delicious.
We were too full to eat the orange chicken there, so we took it to go. They packed the sauce separately so it wouldn’t get soggy. We ended up eating it the next day, and it was still really good.
We’ll definitely be coming back!
Mapo tofu was pretty good, but the bowl of rice that came with it was completely dry.
The restaurant is pretty clean, and the service was attentive. It would be an ok choice for a quick bite.
Food is good and service is very attentive and nice!
