A restaurant for foodies! Everything is amazing, they create amazing dishes that would be challenging for any chef. Scallops, calamari and risotto are all challenging, and it was all tender and perfectly prepared, the risotto included roasted leeks, an unexpected and very pleasant surprise. The garganelli and mushroom had all the flavors I was looking for, plus I could taste (and they confirmed) the sweet white wine (and I’m sure, butter) they had used in the sauce. Service and ambiance are both top notch, wait staff was professional, attentive and enthusiastic (just the right amount for all).

Had a great meal on Thanksgiving at Brava. The server that greeted us was friendly and we were able to sit down right away. The wine selection was solid and the wine I ordered was very good. Our mussels fra diavola appetizer came out quickly, hot, and was delicious. The broth was super tasty and they were kind enough to give us extra bread to soak it up! Our meals were excellent – we tried the brasato (gnocchi with braised short rib), which was fantastic, and the garganelli with sausage which was also very delicious. I’d highly recommend a stop here and will be back!

Great Italien restaurant in Glenwood Springs. Located right on the main drag. Super friendly staff. Food was amazing and really tasty. The focaccia bread at the beginning was so good it was hard to put down to make sure we had space for our meals! The scallop appetizer was amazing. It had puréed asparagus which I had never had but was a great idea! I love cooking at home so I’ll be using that idea at some point. 5 stars for Brava!

On a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer, we stopped in Glenwood Springs and ate at this restaurant. It was the best meal we had on the entire trip! We got the beef carpaccio that was out of this world and the romaine salad. Both were excellent appetiziers. I ordered the veal, and I couldn’t get enough of it. The marsala sauce was absolutely perfect and the mushrooms were plentiful. My friend got the shrimp and lobster ravioli and was surprised it was served with a tomato sauce, but she felt was a little too heavy for the shrimp and lobster. But she still enjoyed the meal and we all enjoyed the ambiance.

I’m assuming that it is harder to get ingredients in Glenwood Springs but the price point and quality don’t quite match up. (I’m using NYC price standards as a point of reference.) We had the charcuterie plate and that was pretty good and given the amazing burrata, the $30 price point is understandable. That’s about where the good ends and the mediocre to bad begins. I’m being generous with my 3 star review (again taking into account price point because Sbarro’s pasta isn’t very good but at least it is cheap). I had the Bolognese… The pasta wasn’t bad and might have been homemade but the sauce was quite watery (kinda similar to college when you added water to your jar of ragu). I can’t remember exactly how much it cost but it was something in the mid to high $20s. On the high end but would’ve been fine if the sauce had the proper texture… But… It did not. My friend had the linguine il frutti di mare… Decent ingredients, over done pasta… My fiance had the caprese… Not bad but nothing to write home about. So while the mains were mediocre at best, the sides were just down right bad. I didn’t take pictures of the rest of the food since I wasn’t impressed but I did take a picture of the brussel sprout side. It may be the worst brussel sprouts I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Overly salted, soggy, overcooked.. The seasonal vegetables were just basically boiled zucchinis, carrots, etc. Not fully strained as water was still on the plate. To top it off, mains came almost an hr after ordering with tables that came after us being served before us. The waiter’s explanation was that it was dropped on the floor and they needed to remake it. Ok, sure.. but pasta doesn’t take that long to make. They comped us a glass of wine for the long wait.. didn’t really need or want it.. but it was something. nothing off the bill was a surprise so I guess their feeling is that our extra wait time was worth the roughly $3 value of what that wine cost the restaurant. We still left a good tip bc we didn’t want to penalize the wait staff but it was just a bad experience overall. Bill with tip for 3 ppl with only one person having 1 glass of wine was $168. Should’ve gone to the super market for some ragu.

I wish I could rate this place 10 stars, it was that good! This is my first time reviewing a restaurant, but this place was so good I felt I needed to! Everything was amazing the appetizers, the salads and even the entrees! Delicious! Also the bread was to die for!

Just got home (we are three locals from Glenwood Springs) shaking our heads at what just happened at this restaurant! Two of us arrived at 5:30 saying our other friend who works down the street would be arriving in about 20 minutes. That was ok with our server who was delightful! We have a pleasant dinner and about to leave and the person who seats guests comes up to us and asks us to leave as he needs the table and we have been there for two hours which was correct. Very rude guy – we were in disbelief! As we leave I thank our wonderful waiter for his service and proceed out by this very obnoxious guy and tell him he was rude! He said -Good get out and don’t come back! I am 72 years old and have eaten in restaurants all over the world and have never been kicked out for staying more than 2 hours. He must have thought we were tourists and he would never see us again! He was right -we will never be back and the friend we were meeting had recommended this restaurant to hundreds of people over the years! Quality of food does not out-rank horrific behavior!
