This location has gone downhill.
Id like to start off by saying Braums as a chain is one of the best food places around. Where else can you get groceries, delicious breakfast/lunch, and ice cream in the same place? That being said this location in particular needs improvement.
Every time I get food from the drive through im always asked to pull forward and park. It’s never done in a timely manner. Service is SLOW.
The last 3 times I’ve been for ice cream they’ve messed up my order. This is after spending the better part of 25-30 minutes in the drive thru start to finish. Whether its putting my ice cream in a cup instead of a waffle cone which i very clearly asked for and the cashier repeated back to me. To giving me all vanilla when I asked for a twist. When I correct them after noticing an issue, the guy at the window slams the ice cream into the trash can next to him, yells at the guy making ice cream, and tells me to pull forward and park like clockwork every time.
The kitchen area is filthy and disgusting. Trash is spread all throughout the floor behind the cashiers and I’ve never once seen it clean behind the counter. Some of the staff are rude but Im aware Braums hires people with intellectual disabilities and young people learning to be a responsible worker so ill give them a pass on that one for now giving the benefit of the doubt that they dont know any better. Although they probably do/should and I’m being too nice with that statement.

My 1st and last visit to a Braum’s. My order wrong. It was a smashed old that look like it was a crispy chicken sandwich which I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The fries were old and hard. Worst experience ever. The person that took my order had it right. The person that handed me “my suppose and very pleasant. The person that handed me ” my supposed to be ordered” had an attitude. When I asked for ketchup, he looked at me like he didn’t want to give me some ketchup.

Twice now my husband and I have driven 43 miles to grab a bite at this braums only to find out half way down the road back that the bacon and cheese was removed from the crispy club combos. Apparently when you change the lettuce and tomatoe to anything else other than what normally comes on it they assume you want all the toppings removed except the condiments and veggies requested to be changed… but you’ll for sure pay the club sandwich price with or without bacon and cheese
That exact braums has been a favorite special stop on day trips to Pittsburg or Joplin for the 5 yrs since my husband and I first started dating. The food was always incredible especially the milkshakes. The staff used to be friendly as well. This past weekend our food was shoved out the window while they continued their conversation with a coworker not speaking a word to us during the food hand off… Unfortunately I doubt we’ll be making any future pitt stops there agiain in the future after 2 times a month apart having the same issues. Do better braums…

Disappointed in Braums Pittsburgh. Ordered food at 2:15 left at 2:50.The drink station was a mess liquid all over. Mustard and ketchup all over. Fries were way too salty. Burger was burnt and cheese not melted. Burger was put together sloppy. When we left at 2:50 nothing cleaned up and 5 or 6 tables dirty. One staff even got drink and didn’t do nothing about gross mess.

Boiled burgers then slightly grilled. The manager was pissy to everyone and 2/3 people were returning food. Mine was soggy. Fries had no salt. Shake had gross chunks on the bottom. There was trash under equipment, ketchup stuck to dispensers, tables not being cleaned, staff making shakes were spilling all over. Don’t go to this local, it’s gross. Asked if they did a military discount and manager said they don’t do any discounts at all.

Keep going in there to try to get a chocolate shake and it’s almost like I need to go in and teach them how to make it because half of its frozen solid. and then it’s all over the damn cup when you go through the drive-through I’ve gave them multiple chances, but it’s unbelievable. I really miss the Gouda Burger from Braum’s—it was my go-to every time I stopped by. There was just something about it that hit perfectly: the smoky, creamy Gouda melting over the patties, the little bit of spice, and the way it all came together in that soft bun. I’d always look forward to biting into it, and honestly, it made the whole meal feel like a treat. It wasn’t just another burger on the menu; it was the burger I kept coming back for. I can still remember pulling into Braum’s, already excited because I knew exactly what I was going to order. Fries and a shake were nice, but it was the Gouda Burger that made it special. It’s funny how food can become a routine comfort, almost like a habit, but in the best way. Every time I had one, it felt like a little reward after a long day. Now that it’s gone, I really feel its absence. I’ll glance at the menu hoping it magically reappeared, but it never does. None of the other burgers really measure up, because I can’t stop comparing them to that Gouda Burger. It’s like when a favorite song gets taken off a playlist—you can still listen to other music, but it doesn’t feel quite the same. I guess that’s why I miss it so much.
