The food was absolutely exquisite. We started with the incredibly fresh tuna tartare, savory mussels, and tender leeks. For our mains, the lamb chops, filet mignon, and chicken francaise were all cooked to perfection—truly magnifique!
And let’s not forget the drinks and dessert! The pumpkin espresso martinis were a unique and delicious seasonal treat. But the desserts were the real showstopper: the lemon tart was wonderfully bright, and the chocolate mousse was pure heaven.
This restaurant is a five-star gem. Impeccable service, incredible atmosphere, and sensational food. A must-visit!
The ambiance is soothing, the wine list is well curated. We tried the ratatouille, truffle fries, beef bourignon (delish!), chicken pot pie snd duck in cassis. All enjoyed!! Service was attentive and friendly. A great night, we will definitely return.
From the start, Chef Aless was incredibly kind and accommodating, working closely with us to create a custom menu that fit our budget. She was responsive throughout the planning process, ensuring every detail was just right.
When we arrived, we were blown away by how beautifully the table was set, complete with fresh flowers. The staff even went above and beyond by setting up a separate table for the kids with coloring books and crayons—something we never requested but truly appreciated. As our family was welcomed with glasses of champagne, we knew we were in for a memorable afternoon.
The lunch itself was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish arrived piping hot, perfectly plated, and absolutely delicious. Many of our guests had never been to Brasserie before, and they were beyond impressed. We also brought additional cakes and desserts, and the staff graciously set up another table to display them beautifully.
I cannot recommend Brasserie by Chef Aless enough. The effort, hospitality, and attention to detail made our special day even more incredible. To top it all off, Chef Aless was recently recognized as one of Gotham Magazine’s Top 10 Private Chefs in NYC—so having her cook for our family was truly an honor.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place!
Finally stopped into Brasserie by Chef Aless after driving past it all summer, and I can’t believe I waited this long. This place is a hidden gem — no social-media hype, just an authentic French brasserie experience right here on Long Island.
The space, once Bobby McCann’s, has been completely transformed into what feels like a trip to Paris: warm lighting, brass accents, and that lively café energy you only find on the Left Bank.
We went on a Tuesday for their $25 mussel special — a huge bowl of tender mussels in white-wine cream sauce with crisp frites. Add the two-for-one champagne and you’ve got perfection.
For dinner, the steak au poivre was cooked exactly medium-rare, rich and peppery, while my wife’s Porterhouse Pork Chop Normand — apples, onions, and apple-cider brandy cream — was decadent and beautifully presented with gratin potatoes and baby carrots.
Dessert sealed the deal: classic chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and an espresso martini that could compete with Manhattan’s best. The service was exceptional — attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Even Chef Aless herself came around to every table to be sure guests were happy, which says everything about the pride behind this place.
They host jazz nights on Thursdays, and I’m already planning to return. I only wish I’d found it earlier — it would’ve been my summer spot for oysters and aperitifs on the patio. Come winter, you’ll find me back here with a crock of French onion soup and a bowl of beef bourguignon.
If you’re looking for Paris without the passport, this is it — right here in Massapequa.
