Oh my goodness what can I say. We haven’t been there in a long time but the food is still delicious!! I started with a White Russian drink. Mixed perfectly . Had the cheesy crab bread. That was something else. Such fresh crab and the sauce they put on it was just yummy . I had the beef raviolis and it was delicious as well. Hailey was our server and she was just the nicest as can be. Kept checking on us to see if we had needed anything. I really appreciate that kind of service. I think I’ll go back more often. Still sooooooo good !!!

I was really fond of this place. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience shows the reason for the falling ratings on Google.

The brass door is an excellent local spot. The bar, food and crowd are amazing. My favorite things are the broiled prawns, French onion soup, halibut or the fish special, Cesar salad and prime rib. This is a regular spot for many people so the best option is to grab a spot at the bar. The drinks are classic, I usually stick to dirty vodka martinis that are strong and delicious, Martin is an excellent bartender. Not too many beers on tap but they carry things like kona brewing and Deschutes which will keep you happy. This has been a family favorite for generations, so I was surprised to see negative reviews. I recommend stopping in here frequently to become a regular if you can, it’s great.

Lived in San Ramon most of my life and never had entered here. It seemed mysterious and not sure even what kind of business it was.

Celebrated Mother’s Day here for my mom and it was a nice treat. We had a reservation set for 7pm and my husband notice a table to itself and asked if we can have the table for a little more privacy. The host first said that everyone in our party had to be present, but he said, ah! It’s okay, table is all yours!

Husband suggested an impromptu Wednesday date night and I’d been hankering for steak, so we headed to Hana Japan in Dublin – for a 90 minute wait?! I called the Brass Door and they said, “Come on up!” There’s a star right there!

Go to The Brass Door if you want a comfort food meal in a warm and calm steakhouse atmosphere with excellent service. I have visited many times, and the recent new coat of paint and reupholstered booths were noticed. My young adult children also appreciate the restaurant and its niche in the community. Consistently delivers.

A fine local haunt with a long and storied history in San Ramon. Poppin’ bar – at least every seat is taken every time I’ve been there in the past year. I had a very fine ribeye, spot-on medium rare. Always enjoy the creamed spinach. Want your chicken piccata to be a veal piccata? Not going to be a problem. We’ve been there thrice in the past 2 years and the service has always been fantastic. If you’re expecting a Ruth’s Chris experience, this isn’t it. Looking for a great meal in a local joint with a storied history? Give it a try.

The French Onion Soup was great. My wife had a Cesar’s salad, and she felt it was awful. Her description was flavorless, so cold it hurt your teeth, and the added shrimp were just boiled, not grilled. I had the Prime Rib, and it was pretty good. We’d definitely return for the soup, at least. Had it not been for the salad, it would have been a 5 star experience. The waiter was very friendly and attentive.
