The menu is naturally inspired by the seasons and the remarkable local ingredients we source from surrounding farms and artisans in the community. Cozy and festive, the restaurant is housed in a lovingly restored 130-year-old barn, located in a field of botanicals on eight-acres in bucolic Chester County, PA. Come smell the roses, apple blossoms, and ashwagandha, then tour the distillery, and stay for dinner at our innovative, farm-to-table restaurant.

Wonderful first time experience! It’s a small place, so expect a smaller menu, but the two choices we made (Salmon and Gnocchi) were delicious.
We especially enjoyed the saffron couscous with golden raisins with my salmon, but also the ricotta and mozzarella baked on top of the gnocchi.
I took one star off for food because one side of the salmon was waaay over-salted, but I chewed through it and the finish was great!

But you should come here with a designated driver and just dive right into the delicious aromas and notes of the in-house gins and bourbons. We sampled three and took home a bottle of one of them right away.

The bar(n) is very rustic and spartan, but cozy, warm and inviting. Drinks and food are served with smile and everyone is very attentive.
There’s a relatively small parking lot and a lovely outdoor seating that you can use, too.

We’ll definitely be back for more!

Amazing menu and the food is more delicious than expected!
What an amazing Mac and cheese tart! So, so good
The burger was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The bacon was so flavorful. Cooked to perfection which rare can be difficult to nail.
Chocolate moose cake to die for!
This is a hidden gem for sure.

As other reviews have stated, this place is a little pricey but worth it. Portion size is good. It is such a neat atmosphere and the service is always amazing. Incredible drink creations and rotating seasonal menu. The brussels appetizer and honey nut squash lasagna were delicious, while my husband really enjoyed his steak. Catch the sunset on their outdoor patio or enjoy live music events.

I have been driving past this spot for about 20 years or so, long before it was a distillery and bistro, back when it was just the shell of an old stone barn and always thought “Someone should really fix that place up.

I have been meaning to stop in once the distillery and bistro moved in but never made the time until today. What a charming and cozy little place. It looks like it should have a huge dining area inside but it doesn’t, I assume because of the distillery portion of the building. Nonetheless it is beautiful and inviting. The wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Considering I stopped in for lunch I didn’t sample a lot of the drinks, I just had a neat pour of their Custom Cask 118. Do you know that feeling you get at the end of a 4th of July fireworks display? When they let off a barrage of rockets which fill the night sky with color and light. That’s their Custom Cask 118 when if makes it into your chest. It’s as though you’re the night sky and the 118 is the barrage of fireworks.

Spectacular.

I will have to stop in there again soon and sample their flights and take the tour of the distillery. Yes, they do tours.

The menu is limited, but from what we had if that is any indication of the quality of the menu items in general, then the food there is some of the best in the area.

I had the lamb and pork chili and it is thick and tasty without being chocked full of hot peppers. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a crust on it that made my mouth water. The green beans were crisp with a crunch and the mashed potatoes were creamy and filling.

I can’t speak to the seared salmon special with Jasmine rice, cucumber seaweed salad other than to say the presentation was unexpectedly beautiful and I was told that it was delicious. You’ll see for yourself in the accompanying photos.

Altogether this was a far more pleasant experience than at your typical local bar/restaurant in a picturesque setting.

The staff, the establishment, and the food were amazing. We had the Brussels Sprout, tuna tartare, charcuterie board, edamame, salad, and cocktails. Everything was great and were grateful for places like this!

They have amazing food and the staff is as kind as they come. Their cocktails are to die for and the atmosphere is incredible. It is VERY expensive but with the view of the distillery, it is an invigorating experience. If you go there for anything, I would recommend the Current Situation cocktail. A lot of their mixed drinks are seasonal but they are definitely worth it. And the Cloudy & Cumbersome beer is on draft, made by a brewery in West Chester. I would 100% send everyone I know there.

I have enjoyed my visits to the Brandywine Branch Bistro. It is a little far for me, but totally worth the trip. They have a lot of locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes often, but some items have stayed the same. I am looking forward to me next visit.

The plates were small and a little on the expensive side, but well worth it with the quality of food. I had both the cask room bourbon and a gin and tonic. Both were excellent and I would definitely get the bourbon again. The atmosphere was classy and it’s a good place to grab a drink and talk for a while. I will be coming back again.

I ordered the cedar meadow steak, it was amazing! Bartender is amazing with recommendations! I forgot to take a pic of food before I started, and lucky I remembered before I finish, but mash potatoes are buttery and smooth! Omg! So yum!

The macaroni and cheese tart was exquisite. The empanada was extraordinarily flavorful. And one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
