Branch & Barrel at Avalon in Alpharetta is an exceptional place to dine and unwind. The drinks are amazing, with a bar selection that’s both diverse and top-notch. The food is absolutely fantastic, offering flavors that delight every time. The atmosphere can’t be beat—it’s the perfect blend of lively and cozy. Visiting family in Atlanta. Popped in the day before Thanksgiving while shopping at Avalon. Was worried we were going to get poor service because of all the shoppers. Not the case. Service was great and the food was better. We started w the corn chowder soup (very good). I had the Herb Grilled Chicken Waldorf Salad and my boyfriend had the Honey-Peach Grilled Chicken Sandwich. His sandwich was excellent. My salad was one of the best salads I have had in years. Yum!!!

Avalon is a beautiful area to shop and eat. We stopped at Branch & Barrel and it was a great choice. Really good service and atmoshpere (with outdoor seating). They have a really good food menu with appetizers, salads, entrees, sandwiches and burgers. The cucumber martini was not the best but the food and service still made it a great choice. I recommend

Great location, with nice seating inside and outside + a nice bar. The food is very good the Brussels sprouts and candied bacon sweet potatoes are excellent appetizers. The salmon & shrimp was a perfect entree. Also the fish sandwich with bacon added hit the spot!

Bar tender Lance was great! As for the other ladies- servers and hostess. They stood at the corner of the bar leaning/sitting up on the area talking loudly, drinking their drinks and on their phones. Cool you’re slow but as a customer, I do not want to see that or hear about your gossip. Also, watched two other people waiting on their check go up and ask for it. Just bad customer service. I came to have a drink with my friends. Not sure I will comeback to this place.

I’ve met clients here twice. Both times, they were great about seating us in a quiet spot where we could have a detailed conversation without worrying about others being able to listen in. Server’s have been very good about knowing when to approach the table and not interrupting. Great food and great service.

We visited yesterday as a party of five (two couples and a child), and unfortunately the food quality was very disappointing. I had asked our server about the lobster roll before ordering, and he recommended it highly. However, when it arrived, the flavor was overwhelming—it tasted as though the lobster had been sitting in garlic sauce for days. The chicken tenders were excessively greasy, and the salmon in the salad was noticeably dry, making the dish quite mediocre overall.
Surprised by the five-star reviews on OpenTable, I can only assume those diners haven’t experienced what truly good restaurants have to offer. It’s disappointing to see a restaurant of this caliber operating at Avalon, as it doesn’t reflect well on the area.
That said, the service itself was adequate.

Nice location off the beaten path. I had the fish fries and my daughter had the pimento cheese deviled eggs with bacon bites for an appetizers. The fish fries were good. My daughter thought it was too much cheese in the deviled eggs, but she liked the taste. I had the Honey Glazed Center Cut Pork Loin cut w/creamy corn & collard greens and my daughter had the Salmon Salad. The pork loin was seasoned good. Great food!!! Good service. No military discount. Overall, good experience.
