A surprisingly intimate set up, considering the current configuration is in the hotel lobby due to construction. Still very quiet and friendly, and the ambiance is very old world grandeur with a modern vibe. Nothing quite like it. The service was the very best of Pittsburgh earthy kindness, sweetly accommodating and no-nonsense. Exceptional food and drink, which is not unusual in the Cultural District. Inventive recipes, well-seasoned, and well-thought-out. Bonus: a nice heavy pour on the lemon drops. Highly recommend the baked cookie and ice cream, and the filet. Highly recommend a visit, especially if you love bourbon. Have a mini photo shoot at the grand staircase while you’re there!

This place was amazing, we stumbled in here and was surprisingly, taken back by the amazing food, though the water wasn’t the best neither was the temperature of the food, but the taste of the meals were amazing overall definitely would come back!

Great place to grab a cocktail and bite to eat without having to leave your hotel if you’re staying at the Renaissance Pittsburgh. I’m not a vegetarian but the harvest beet and black bean burger is an excellent choice. Pair it with a Brooklyn, a spicy/sweet cocktail with a nice little kick.

Overall food was good. The only part that we had an issue with was the burger was under cooked when asked for medium. The truffle chips were good, but had a burnt taste. The steak and mash potato with pumpkin sauce was amazing. Would recommend the steak for sure.

Not bad, but a little disappointed for the money. I’m nitpicking for sure.

We were staying in the hotel and this looked nice. First off, the lobby is beautiful and our service was fantastic. The French onion soup was very good.

The scallops had a very earthy smell. They were cooked well, I wish you got more than 4 considering the price. I found the risotto to be a little too al dente and a bit salty. In hindsight I would have ordered something else.

The filet was cooked as ordered. It was a good cut, a little more chew than some others and she wished there was a sauce.

Berry cobbler for dessert was nice especially with the ice cream. A good shareable for sure.

All in all we enjoyed the dinner however we have had better meals at the same price.

This place is an understated gem in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. Good food, outstanding atmosphere. Tables out on the sidewalk for your al-fresco dine and/or drinks. A must visit. Prices are less than you’d expect being “in” the Renaissance hotel. This is a blue collar city. It has a living, breathing soul. Stop by for a pint or two…you won’t regret it.

I love this restaurant. The service was friendly without going overboard and the food was yummy. We both started with a small beet salad, then the main course was their maui special and the salmon dinner and finished up with the lemon cake as dessert. Love it

Located in the Renaissance hotel on Sixth, I have eaten here a few times and have each time had a pleasant experience. Booked a rez through Open Table and was sat immediately even though we were early. We got the pork belly quesadilla to start and it was delectable. The meat was tender and paired perfectly with the pepper Jack cheese and green aioli on top. You’ve got to get this if you are going. My boo got the fish and chips and said it was good but parts of the fish on the edges were too dark and crispy. I didn’t see a problem with this bc it seemed like an extra crunch but typical midwesterner that he is told me this was a no go. I got the butcher cut filet which was a nice steak if not a little too medium vs the medium rare I requested. The smashed pots were yummy but the broccolini was plain and under seasoned. Service was great and very attentive even though they were short staffed. The host was very warm and helpful. Would recommend.

Best breakfast in the area in my opinion! Great prices considering it’s in a hotel.
Very friendly waitstaff and the food was so good, the ☕️ was so bomb with the breakfast!

Had a great breakfast with quick efficient service. We had the wild blueberry pancakes with fruit & the buttermilk biscuits with eggs and potatoes. I asked for my potatoes extra crispy & everyone delivered. We had coffee to drink & it was also very delicious. Nice quiet atmosphere with a beautiful interior view.
