We diced to visit a place a bit outside of the noisy and busy area. Expectations were reasonable, considering florentine steak is being served at almost every restaurant in Florence. Unfortunately, this place didn’t meet it, mostly due to quality of service. Room was almost empty, but we had to ask several times to get what we ordered, and ended up waiting 30 minutes for a check.

Worst experience in Florence. The girl who served us had zero knowledge, wasn’t speaking a word of English and her appearance was not ok either. When the salad arrived and it was super dry as it was in the fridge for many hours already pro prepared, I expressed that. A minute after, a gentleman(not dressed as the chef but more as the owner) came to my table shouting at me, I won’t say more. We got a premium cut meat, came cold, not just rare. When I asked for mayo or any kind of sauce, I will share photos of what I received. I have no words. We paid 180€. Don’t go there.

Let me start with .. WOW!!
We found this place by chance, but the name and logo told us it was what we were looking for. While looking at the posted menu, we were offered assistance by a very kind and knowledgeable waiter. (Who ended up being the owners son) He took the time to explain the different cuts of meet and the qualities each cut and type of cow offered. From there, he guided us to what proced to be a perfect steak for us. For each course, he explained the menu options, asked a few questions, and recommended a dish. Each was true perfection. Follow their recommendations. They take their craft seriously and truly strive to provide an amazing experience for each guest. I don’t recall ever having a meal where I was more impressed with each course! And yes, this includes the wine pairing. He asked us a little about our wine tastes and then offered us two choices. Based on his description, we picked one. It was a perfect match for us and the steak. We would have eaten here every night if we had more nights in Florence. A must try! Also, they speak great English making it easy on tourists.

We had our best meal of the entire time we have been in Italy!! Gabriele was incredibly knowledgeable about the amazing beef we had, and we really enjoyed conversing with him. The polenta appetizer and sides, especially the mashed potatoes which I’ll forever be trying to duplicate, were all outstanding. Gabriele shared a delicious bourbon that he had amended (I won’t share his secret here), it was delicious. Magical experience in a magical city!

Spectacular. Highly recommend. Food was top quality and the service was unbeatable. We were assisted by Gabriele who guided us through our meal. He was knowledgeable and professional, very kind, and made us feel like we were dining amongst friends. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. The meats were tender and delicious. My favorite was the dessert, Dubai Chocolate, a must try!

My family and I had the best meal of our lives here. The steaks were beautiful high quality cuts of meat and the other sides and main courses we had were all absolutely divine. Our servers, Laura and Leonora (so sorry if I misspelled your names) were very kind and friendly. I look forward to returning one day and highly recommend!
