Was there a few days ago and even though the staff has changed overtime. I continue to love the chicken salad from this restaurant. And honestly this was the best version of chicken salad I’ve had really enjoyed it.

Good stuff I use to love eating here when I was younger and still recommend the chicken tenders to people only thing is wish the tender combo came with more fries

Just updating the price of the breakfast burrito special. We came here thinking that the breakfast burrito was still $2.99 but it is been raised to $4.99! It says it in the sign if the picture I uploaded. When we went inside to ask how come it’s changed, cashier said it’s just the old sign and they haven’t changed it yet so I’m letting the public know in case you guys decide you want to stop for breakfast burrito.

Building is cool, obvious from the sign this used to be a Pioneer Chicken once. Food is good. Had breakfast, was quite happy with it and the service. Staff were very friendly, would certainly come here again. Location was clean, lots of stuff on the menu. Parking, seating and bathrooms were all accessible.

Food was okay too fried in my opinion. We had the good to go and they didn’t give us salsa which I specifically asked if they charged for it. The cashier said it was included with our food yet it was missing. I ordered three coke glass bottles n they also forgot to semd those lost 12 bucks there. Would not got back to eat again.

Do NOT go here ..trust me!! Awful customer service!!! Placed an order and 15minutes later still no food and now the girl who took my order is nowhere to be found. The cook was nice and asked if I needed anything. I said “yeah, my food”. Apparently, I paid for my food, but my order was never given to the cook. Finally, 30minutes later my food arrives… Only problem it was nothing close to the French Toast that I ordered and paid for. F***It time to leave…keep the money & the food. Will never be back here!!!

This is also Don Carlos #6.
I lived near here once, but never really went in. To be fair, I was there only until I learned how to read.

It was a pleasant experience. I’ve heard the bathroom is dirty, though.

The portions were great for the price. Plus the sides. I found the burger I had to be a bit weak in flavor, but the basket made up for it. Charlie’s Best Burgers wins out on burger flavor slightly, but they lack sides. Big time. Expensive for so little. Don Carlos gets the sides right.

Unlike the other two Don Carlos hybrids I’ve been to, this one has a large focus on the burgers, including an easy to read menu with basket combinations. They’re called lunch boxes, and if I were closer, I’d get lunch boxes regularly.

The other two places basically assume you know. If you do, you’d ask for a basket combo, but if you don’t, you get a basic burger with your combo.

This location also has a nice salad. Don Carlos in Fullerton don’t carry ingredients to make a proper salad, which is also topped with salsa. Perfect depending on what you’re eating, but doesn’t compare to this location.

The sides are comparative to Varsity Burgers, though Varsity wins out in terms of onion rings. Even so, despite all comparisons, this place is great.

Boys Hamburger #5 and Don Carlos #6.

Not to be confused with Don Carlos containing Boy’s Hamburger #11, in Fullerton.

Also not to be confused with Athenian Burgers #3 and Don Carlos #5, in Buena Park.

The prices on the menu were not correct. My quesadilla was a dollar more than what it said on the menu. But it tasted good. I ordered a cantaloupe drink, no prices on the menu. Looked at my receipt and the drink was 599! My receipt was $16.14 for quesadilla and a drink. Ridiculous! And the drink was not real cantaloupe. It was a mix with water. I will never eat there again. I recommend Harry’s on Dale and Katella in Stanton.

I went to Boys as a change of pace from my normal restaurant. On the plus side, they have a great menu and the staff is friendly. On the negative side, their food is average and lacks seasoning. I like the fact I don’t feel rushed so that extra coke or coffee is a plus. The biggest draw is their patio so I can eat my food there.
