Hidden Gem Food is always delicious and fresh every time! Very affordable and the portions are large! Service is always A++! Love all the windows here but I always prefer to go. Be careful with to go, the bourbon sauce will spill out of the box into the saran wrap they put around it. Ask for your sauce on the side to avoid the mess. They always make sure you get exactly what you want and go the extra mile! I’ve become a regular here very quickly. I live in the neighborhood and I’m very grateful there is a place affordable with great food that me and kids can enjoy! Love this place!

I love this place. Staff is friendly, food is amazing and prices are pretty reasonable. I was introduced to Bourbon Street Cafe through the Pumpkin Show and I make it a point to stop here anytime I’m near Dayton. Amazing bourbon chicken served over or with a bunch of good side items. This place has my heart.

My bf brought me here for the first time. I loved the bourbon sauce on the chicken. The meal that I got was smashed into the container. Everything was soggy. They forgot my cornbread. I didn’t care, at all, for the potato spuds. The sides were decent sized but not a lot of chicken for the price. Disappointed!

I’ve been on the search for a hidden gem in Dayton and think I may have found my spot! Although based on the line, I think Bourbon Street Grill isn’t quite a “hidden” gem any longer.

Let’s start with the “elephant in the room” – the atmosphere. This certainly isn’t a fine dining experience by any means. Although they do use the highest quality styrofoam containers and have tables and chairs that must be super durable based on their age. I think a couple of those chairs may have been around when Carter was president…..the manufacturer should be proud of how long they’ve served their purpose.

So if you’re willing to sit on some chairs from the ‘70s or ‘80s, you are going to delight in some of the best food you’ll find in Dayton. I got the bourbon chicken, no rice, just chicken. A half portion was plenty of food for me. My son, with a much higher metabolism devoured a full portion. The chicken is SO juicy and the bourbon sauce has the perfect balance of sweetness while not being too sweet. The sauce is so good that you want to drink the leftover juices like the leftover milk from your bowl of lucky charm cereal…..am I the only one who still does that??

Now to the service – they do a great job getting people in and out but you certainly don’t feel rushed either. They have a couple of pretty experienced workers who are staples and keep things organized and moving. All of the workers are friendly but also keep the conversation kind of short to reduce the wait time.

It won’t be long until I’m back to savor some tasty chicken and chug the leftover juices that leave me reminiscing of my 8 year old self with my morning bowl of lucky charms.

This is the most AMAZING Bourbon Chicken and White Rice, I’ve ever had!! The portion size is generous for the price you pay. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was friendly, wirh great service. If I had the money to eat out everyday, I’d eat there at least once a day everyday. They have a variety of sides and you can have a sandwich, a wrap, or just the bourbon chicken by itself with the sides. Anyway you eat it, the taste, is unforgettable, it’s so good!!

AMAZING!! AMAZING!! AMAZING!! HOMEMADE GOODNESS with every bite. Huge portions and a very fair price. Actually, you can’t beat the price!! I gobbled it up so fast, there wasn’t anytime for pictures. But that just means I’m going to have to return!!

Visiting the city for a week for work wanted to have a bite that wasn’t the usual in a bag lunch or overpriced dinner food and this was definitely the spot. Friendly service, fair prices, clean seating area. Will only be here for a couple of weeks and I will definitely have more meals here before I leave Dayton

Ah man, BOURBON STREET is the best spot in Dayton forreal. The customer service there is amazing and they are so generous. I love going there and able to relax.
THE wait time is usually 10minutes tops.
Food is always fresh! I got the blackened chicken w the bourbon sauce, mixed cabbage, rice and potatoes. It hits the spot every time for a good price. Also, they pack your container to the BRIM! I will always come here when I’m in Dayton:)!

Bourbon Chicken in Pita Bread was excellent and price was decent, will definitely try again. Mediterranean Salad was Ok. Edible bowl with Grilled chicken and and spicy rice not so spicy was a good idea. Only one star less because we dine in there and felt like atmosphere could be more better. They should try some music there .
