Yay mocktail menu! My friends enjoyed the salmon and Caesar salad so I’d come again to try something else.
It didn’t seem that busy 4pm on a Sunday but we had a reservation just in case.
The food was delicious. We ordered a couple of the shareable sides (the crack potatoes are absolutely worth the hype) and had enough leftovers to bring home, which is always a win. The portion sizes on those extras are generous, so definitely plan to share.
We noted on OpenTable that we were celebrating an anniversary, and the staff went out of their way to make it feel special. Instead of the typical champagne toast, they noticed we weren’t drinking and offered us a celebratory scoop of ice cream instead—which was thoughtful and appreciated.
Overall, a classy yet approachable spot with solid service and well-executed dishes. Would definitely come back.
We got to Bourbon N Bubbles at 4pm on a Saturday. It was the first stop on our DIY “cocktail crawl”. This was a great time to pop in because it was fairly empty! We had the back bar to ourselves.
The back bar area has chic bar stools that are extra cozy. The lighting was not bright and not dark, just right for a Saturday afternoon. Our bartender came over right away and got us started with water, offering bubbly or bottled, as well.
The menu was quite impressive. The only reason I knocked off a star was because the prices were quite high, especially compared to the other bars nearby.
I had the Watermelon Spritz. It was nice and refreshing, but definitely one and done for $17.
Hubby had the Sweet Heat. He really liked it. I tried it, but bourbon is not my thing. I’ll stick to the bubbles!
Ultimately, we would still come back. The brunch menu looked worth checking out, when we’re feeling like we want to really splurge.
Service issues were constant throughout the night. We ordered three appetizers, two of them didn’t arrive until after our entrées were served, and one never arrived at all. When we mentioned the missing appetizer to our waiter, he told us he had “just put the order in,” despite the fact that we were already eating our meals. In addition, multiple entrées for our table were forgotten entirely.
When we brought these concerns to the manager, no solution or effort to make things right was offered. We were also celebrating two separate occasions and informed the restaurant in advance, but there was no acknowledgment at all, which was disappointing.
We were a group of 8, and there is an automatic 25% gratuity for parties over 6. Being required to leave such a high tip for extremely poor service and bad food felt unreasonable and left a very sour impression.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this could be a much better experience with improved service, communication, and food quality. For now, I would caution others, especially larger groups, to be aware before dining here.
But the worst part of the night was the influencers. Not joking when I say a camera crew with lights came into the restaurant on a Friday night at 8pm to film while everyone else was trying to have dinner. Yes, seriously
Overall hard pass. Seems like a tourist trap with good marketing. I am now sitting in bed eating a subway sandwich.
Pros: The cornbread was very yummy. The fries were amazing. The watermelon margarita was great. The location was perfect.
Cons: The service was slow, the meal was good but not phenomenal (for the price)., the red velvet cake was dry. They had a “3 for $45” dinner special that had apparently ended but they did offer to honor the pricing.
