Been here several times before, excellent food and service. Until tonight, with a group of 10 people.. Pulled pork was not available (usually what I get). Decided to go with the full rack of ribs. The ribs came out very dry, but not only that, the rib meat had to be torn off the bone.. two plates were served this way. In the meantime my son took two bites of his chicken strips and said he didn’t like them. He ate his fries and nothing more came about the chicken strips until I decided to try one.. the first and only bite I had was chewy to say the least, because the chicken was fully cooked. The center was RAW.. all the strips were raw.. The waitress was super apologetic about the ribs and chicken and said she would take it off the bill.. The bill came and only $20 was taken off the total bill (total bill amount was over $200) considering two racks of ribs were not eaten and sent back to the kitchen and the chicken strips were RAW!
I truly talk this place up to everyone I know, it was our choice for good meat and barbecue, but that will stop. After tonight I can’t see us ever going back.

Went for dinner on a Saturday. We were seated right away and our server was great! I think our food may have been left out for a little while because it was about room temperature. I had brisket and was a little disappointed. There wasn’t much flavor and it was a little dry. The other person got the Pick 3 with ribs and brisket. He said the ribs were good but, felt the same about the brisket. Sides were Ok. The baked beans aren’t very different from any other baked beans, the potato salad was good, and waffle fries were good. I did try the “spicy” mac n cheese. I didn’t find it too spicy. It was a tad over priced for what it was but, not bad. I will probably return again.

Very cool vibe and a great hangout. The venue is clean, well lit and has several bar games. The brisket and pulled pork are seriously amazing. Great Craft beer selection as well as plenty of Busch Light. The only downside, they are always playing country. Probably the best BBQ I’ve had in Cedar Rapids, if not Iowa.

Good selection of local regional and national beers. They smoke their own meats. I have a taste of the pork ribs which were nicely smoked yet moist. Jennifer was our server and she was delightful, made our experience there that much more enjoyable.

Pretty decent BBQ place. Portions and service were pretty average, not bad but nothing special. BBQ sauces available had a great variety and were very delicious! Pulled pork was extremely salty, and “spicy” Mac n cheese was plain and flavorless. Brisket, coleslaw, and cornbread were good but not great. Best part was definitely the environment. Would be open to going again but highly prefer QDogs BBQ in Marion.

First time here with my wife tonight. Apps awesome and many choices with reasonable prices. Great food and menu is a variety for anyone even a kids menu. The service was very good and we just want to say that is rare in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City the past two years of attending restaurants for us. Keep up the good work staff and managers!

Darmani was the best. He is so friendly and eager to make our first visit to Bourbon Creek Smokehouse enjoyable. Also a shout out to our hostess. She informed us it would be a wait to be seated as it was VERY busy. Very professional and polite! We will definitely be back.

Great place for some smoked food! Atmosphere was calm and smelled good. The service was on time. Servers are great conversation starters. The food was delicious! I ordered the philly beef brisket cheese steak sandwich!! It was the bomb!! The prices are good on ur pockets. Check em out!!

Took our family here Friday June 21 what a joke!! No pork, no brisket!! Most things on the menu include these meats! Don’t advertise smokehouse when you don’t have it 11 of us will never be back!!! I can get waffle fries and burgers anywhere!!! I talked this place up, to alot of people but I’m thinking there is new management since our last visit so sad, it use to be great!! They won’t be here long with this kind of management! Waiter was fine his hands were tied. Not his fault!
