What a disappointing experience, this was. The service was good, the place is nice, but the food just OK. The bone marrow needed marrow, the tar tar was good, the ceviche was more vegetables than fish, the lambchops were over cooked, the mushrooms were super salty(and I like salt). The sashimi was pretty good, the short rib was small but pretty good, and the brussels sprouts were very good. All in all, I wouldn’t go back! Very expensive for a subpar meal.

Had an amazing meal here the day after Christmas. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the food was perfect, and the overall experience was high end and worth the price we paid.
It’s worth noting that we had a minor issue with the steak preparation that was communicated before it was brought to our table when we were offered a redo on the preparation. We declined and I felt there was no real issue at all with my meal.
They made a point of providing a complimentary dessert to both of us at the end of the meal which was greatly appreciated.
I’ll definitely return here in future visits to Scottsdale.

I really enjoyed my visit to Bourbon & Bones. The environment is great definitely a bit smaller than I expected, but in a cute, intimate way that works well for the vibe they’re going for. The service was genuinely good, and our waitress, Lindsay, was amazing. She had great recommendations and really helped guide us through the menu.

My boyfriend ordered the rib cap steak and said it was pretty good. It doesn’t compare to Don’s Prime in Vegas, but he still enjoyed it overall. As for me, my steak, the side items, and the dessert were all really tasty. I’d definitely recommend everything I ordered.

If I had to call something out, the cocktails weren’t my favorite I’ve had better so just something to keep in mind. But the food itself was solid, and the overall experience was great.

I’d recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys a whiskey- or bourbon-forward dining experience. It’s a cozy place with good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere.

Definitely a cute place. The hot rock A5 wagyu is outstanding. Everyone I was with had the 10 oz filet and I had the bone in ribeye. Everything was cooked to the right temp, however I will say there was far too much char on my ribeye which made it not as enjoyable. Some of the bourbon on the menu couldn’t be served as they didn’t have all allocated bottles in which was unfortunate. Sides were fine. Table loved the cheesy potatoes and baked potatoes. Mashed potatoes were fine but the Mac and cheese definitely could’ve used more cheese and seasoning. Espresso martini was pretty good. Dessert for all of us was extremely disappointing. Fudge cake was super dry crème brûlée was overly thick, bourbon butter cake wasn’t anything special. The bourbon float, if you’re looking for a buzz, this is it, probably the only one worth the money.

Steak was cooked to perfection. Excellent side selection, all of which was delicious. The loaded baked potato was the largest potato I’ve ever seen and is definitely a 2 person side

We visited this restaurant hoping for a quality dining experience, but left feeling frustrated and overlooked.

Our filet, which was supposed to be medium, was first served completely overcooked. Management did step in after that first attempt, which we appreciated, but our server Brad was nowhere to be found during the entire process. There was no check-in, no update, and no acknowledgment that anything was wrong, despite us clearly waiting.

The second attempt at the steak came out severely undercooked. When we asked for management again, two different managers arrived with completely contradictory responses. One manager was particularly unkind and insisted we still needed to pay for the entrée, while the other (Sara) was polite, removed our drinks, and offered a gift card. The contrast made the entire situation feel disorganized and uncomfortable.

It’s worth noting that my wife is a culinary-trained chef with experience in fine dining, and we regularly dine at higher-end restaurants. We know how different cuts of steak should be cooked and presented, and this was not a case of unrealistic expectations.

Throughout all of this, Brad remained dismissive and disengaged. He did not check on the remade dish, made no effort to assist, and at the very end simply shrugged as he picked up the check. It was a clear indication that he was aware of the situation and chose not to care.

We understand that mistakes happen in restaurants. What made this experience disappointing wasn’t just the steak being done incorrectly twice, but the lack of basic service, the absence of communication, and the conflicting and dismissive responses from leadership. For a restaurant that presents itself as higher-end, we expected a higher standard of both food execution and

I didn’t eat the remade steak because of the pictures attached, we left the gift card behind, and won’t be returning.

With over 600 types of whiskey and bourbon you’re sure to find one for your taste. The food is excellent with several dining options to choose from. The wait staff here leaves you wanting nothing.

Bourbon & Bones is easily one of the best dining experiences in Arizona. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable, and the service is outstanding from start to finish. The steaks are cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and worth every penny. Their sides and appetizers are just as impressive, and the cocktail selection is top tier.

Everything about this place feels intentional and high quality. If you’re looking for an amazing dinner spot with great food, great drinks, and great service, Bourbon & Bones is absolutely the place to go.

Katie was our server and gave great suggestions. Bison & wagyu steak were perfect. Hector checked on us to make sure everything was going well. All the servers were on top of it and the dining by the open windows was so nice on a warm evening. Definitely will go again when in town.
