Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. They don’t take reservations so you may have to wait depending on what time you arrive. The fries are a must. The deviled eggs can be skipped (too bland). The chicken wings are excellent. They come with a sauce in the side that is good, but the chicken by itself really shines. The broccolini dish is excellent and so are the cheese puffs. I like their mixed nuts and olives the burger is good too. Drinks are reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly.

We had a wonderful experience here. The food was excellent, the cocktails were thoughtfully crafted, and the ambiance was beautiful. The restaurant is set in a charming older home just off Magazine Street, which made the evening feel special and inviting.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. I accidentally left my phone at the restaurant and did not realize it until I had already flown back home. When I called, the staff did not hesitate for a moment. They were incredibly kind and helpful and immediately arranged to mail my phone back to me. I cannot express how much I appreciated them going above and beyond to help me out. Thanks Craig!!

This has been a family favorite for years, especially for my father, who loved CJ’s Perfect Manhattan. On a recent visit after our dad’s passing, we stopped in to toast to his memory. The staff caught on and were SO kind to us as we shed a few tears and laughed over how much this cozy little neighborhood bar meant to us. Simply put, this place exemplifies New Orleans’ charm–delicious food, the importance of memory, and the celebration of the days ahead, and of course, with a well-crafted cocktail at the center of it all. Thank you, BT staff, for making our recent visit so special!

On a stroll through the charming streets of New Orleans’ Garden District, we found our way to Bouligny Tavern, an awesome spot in an elegant mid-century modern building on Magazine Street. Opened in 2010, Bouligny Tavern is named after one of the first Creole plantations in the area.
After admiring the historic mansions and lush oak trees on our walk, this spot was the perfect place to grab a drink. The atmosphere is sleek with dim lighting.
I was in the mood for an Old Fashioned, and their fig variation was a great change up. Our bartender was equally fantastic—attentive and knowledgeable on bourbons.
If you’re in the Garden District, check this spot out. We just had a drink but they serve food as well.

The burger was absolutely amazing! However, when dining with a large group, we were disappointed to find they made a big deal about not allowing us to split the bill—definitely not ideal. My party and I stopped by for a quick snack and drink. We ordered the crab claws which were delicious. The tavern had a nice classy atmosphere as well. Service was fast.

Great cocktails. Can be the Best burger in the city, but sometimes it’s hit or miss. crab claws were really good. Most servers are great. The outdoor courtyard needs exterminating. Dined there June 6, 2023 and there was an infestation of roaches. They were crawling around our feet, on the walls and one flew. I screamed and called for the server but he never blinked or stopped his conversation. I guess he said “hey you’re dining outside in New Orleans, it is what it is” ♀️. This is still One of the few spots you can go to get good late night food and drinks.
This used to be my 100% go to spot, I guess I’m 50/50 now. Definitely never dining outside again!

A great spot to have a few glasses of wine or to have a meal. Etta James on the sound system, quality knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great decor, a friendly place and good cocktails. I highly recommend Boulingny Tavern as a great place to spend some time or have a meal.
