The atmosphere and waiter were nice, but when I ordered the Mac-nut pesto pasta dish the waiter asked if I would like chicken, seafood, or vegetables on it and the menu only showed an up charge for the two meats. I chose vegetable and received 3 small pieces of asparagus and was up charged $6 for that. Then my husband ordered fish and ribs. He received two pieces of fish and two ribs for $21 dollars and his food was hardly warm. Not impressed and wouldn’t recommend

Ok spot, but way too pricey. Lunch for 4 tuned into $150 without us realizing it. Not that they hid the prices, just a few maitais in and kids getting the wagyu beef burgers… Def not worth the cost. The fish and chips were rocking, though.

Fish tacos are great, fish burger was OK nothing special. The staff was very friendly and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is on the second level; the view from the window side tables over looking Hanalei is a great place to unwind and soak up the beauty of the area while you eat.

Very up set after eating the crispy chicken sandwich. After eating most of it I was wondering why this chicken was chewy. The reason was that it was still raw. The server was nice and apologize, but this is unacceptable.

This place seems to be underestimated. While they do offer some Sushi, I don’t know why it’s listed as Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere isn’t japanese, and most of the food offered isn’t either. We went here spontaneously for dinner and got a table upon arrival, luckily. Other guests, that came after us, had to wait.

Service was not great. The friendliest staff there were the young (looked a little too young to be working there) boys that took us to our table and brought us water. They actually smiled. Prices are on the high side, but I’m pretty sure that’s just Hanalei. Fish and chips were pretty standard. My wife got a burger that does not come with fries and after she ordered a side of fries, didn’t even get it. Our friend had the Seafood Hanalei and she said it was really good. We thought about sushi because we were going to go to Dolphin Sushi Lounge but the wait was too long. Table next to us said the sushi was not very good.

Walked in the door and was greeted by an upbeat Louis. He got us a great window seat and was the best waiter we’ve had in a long time. Enjoyed Happy Hour drinks, fish and chips and the wagyu beef burger. Best fish n chips my husband had ever had. Not too much breading and great tasting fish. Highly recommend. Burger was savory and Louis made sure it was cooked to order. Ignore any low ratings and all for Louis. A great view, great food, and great service!!!

Ate there twice, once last year (had a great experience then) and once again just now. I don’t know what happened over the course of this past year, but nearly everything was worse. I will give credit to the waitress, she was nice. But the food we ordered was not great. Especially their burgers. My father and I ordered burgers requested medium rare, and after about a half an hour we received burgers that were easily well-done. We also ordered a calamari that arrived another twenty to thirty minutes after the burgers had arrived! The only two positives I have of this restaurant is that the ahi dishes are very good and the waitresses are nice. I would not recommend coming here for lunch.

Waiter was super rude. (Asked him something and said whatever and rolled eyes) Food was decent to sub par. Service was worst I’ve ever seen. 2 other groups left before they got there food, disgusted w same rude waiter around 1p on Sunday. Took us 45 mins to get a coke. 2 of our kids never even got there drinks. That pretty much sums it up. Would never go back or recommend to anyone. And someone else in our party had a similar experience! I never leave reviews but the service here disgusted me. So many better places we have gone this week!
