This BBQ shack is atheistically pleasing. When you can catch them open, the customer service is terrific. They were prompt with answering the phone as I placed the mobile order and were accurate and informative in taking the order. Where they fell short is in the food itself. I ordered for the first time a BBQ chicken sandwich. The first impressions of the sandwich could have been better. The chicken sandwich is simply a plain burger bun with cuts of chicken sandwiched in between and wrapped in aluminum foil. The meal came assembled with no additional fixings save a small side of bbq sauce. The sauce was a run-of-the-mill barbeque sauce with a balance of sweetness and tanginess. The bun was warmer than the meat, and the meat was cold. The flavor of the chicken was rather bland yet still managed to be overcrowded, with an excessive amount of pepper overpowering the entire experience. The sandwich did not pair well with the sauce at all, and the sauce is very much needed to contend with the dryness of the sandwich. The texture of the meat is akin to both an overly smoked then steamed cut of chicken. To try for yourself they are open Thursday -Saturday.

Listen I went grocery shopping at Wayfield and came back home hungry. I didn’t feel like cooking. I didn’t have to because my daughter had a plate of barbecue smelling good that Uber Eats had just delivered.
Let me be clear this is real pit barbecue. It has the smoke. You can smell it and taste it. This is essential because other spots don’t do smoke barbecue.
Listen this picture doesn’t do the plate justice. Seriously there is a good deal of meat on this plate under there. The plate had Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Macaroni and Cheese and Collard Greens.
Pulled Pork- Very seasoned and tender. Not dry or old meat that been sitting around
Beef Brisket- The star ***** on the plate. Whew this brisket was moist, juicy, tender but most of all had the best seasoning and smoke with just the right amount of fat. Omg!!!! This is a hit.
Collard Greens- Lots of flavor both sweet and vinegar. It doesn’t lack seasoning but needed to be cooked a bit more. It’s hard to get greens tender this time of year. I like mine not mushy but I already know some folks will complain about that.
Macaroni and Cheese- My least favorite. Didn’t have much cheese. Guess it was just a miss in that but I will try it again at a later date.
Barbecue Sauce- The other star ***** of the plate. First if all thank you for giving us a whole cup. Other barbecue spots in Hapeville and College Park (no names) give you tiny thumbnail cups like you taking communion or a pack like you get soy sauce. This sauce is bumping. I wish I could replicate it. It is perfectly sweet, smoky and a dash of savory. You can drink it literally.
All in all I had a lot to say but this spot deserves some exposure. East Point needed this particular business as I’m very glad to see you in my community band neighborhood and hope you are here to stay.

Friendly and quick service. Ordered the chicken and brisket to go, with sides of potato salad and baked beans. All delicious. Both the sauce and bakes beans are the perfect balance of savory and sweet, leaning towards the savory. Definitely recommended.

The bbq is on point I always order brisket. They can work on the sides. I only get the greens but re cut them if you feeding them to your little ones they cut them the long way. The Mac lack cheese and the bake beans are watery. This is my opinion but I love to cook. But I will be back again.

Love to eat local when I’m on a trip…The food Pulled Pork was delicious i didn’t order my sauce on the side so the bbq sauce is very tasty a very zesty sauce…1I asked for the Pull Pork sandwich they just gave me 2 half pieces of bread on the side of the BBQ..Some sandwich..The baked beans were good. They were cold though…The Mac & cheese had a good flavor o felt, However others that were with me didn’t enjoy it as much…Food was fast and service was friendly.. I wud def eat there again.. The ribs were to die for, fell right off the bone. The yams, mac, potato salad and coleslaw were sooo good too! So much flavor and spice goodness. Not like someone mentioned in a review below me saying it had no flavor and spice. Definitely recommend going here!!

Arrived at closing but was served quickly. I’d heard my coworker speaking highly of this restaurant. It’s in my neighborhood but I’d never tried it. Everything was great! I ordered a slab of ribs and an order of brisket…collard greens, baked beans. I wanted mac and cheese but they were already out of it. Brisket had LOTS of fat, but otherwise tender and tasty! Ample portion size for money spent. I will definitely visit again!

It was okay. I went kinda late, they were closing soon. The BBQ sauce was very good. The potato salad was a bit mashed and tangy for me. The baked beans were way too sweet for me and the Mac n chz was just okay. Like I said tho, it was the end of the day and I understand how getting the bottom of the barrel can change the taste. I WILL try them again, earlier this time. Hopefully they’ll have wings and greens (they were out of both by then)

Great customer service, with a smile. Food: ribs were small. They could use some seasoning to kick them up a notch. The homemade Mac n cheese was delicious. The BBQ sauce on the side was a little bitter. The baked beans were not sweet beans. The brisket was okay. I really would like for this business to succeed so I may go back.

The food is perfectly seasoned! I am a vegetarian and really appreciated the fact that there was no meat in the collard greens! My husband raved about the pulled pork and ribs being fall-off-the bone tender! The prices were definitely fair, the customer service was great, and the food was given within minutes! I highly recommend this hidden gem in East Point, Ga!
