Being from out of town, this was our first time here for our date night. The location has been through several restaurants so we were a bit skeptical. Advertised on the door, they are not open late as you would expect a “tavern” would be. We were surprised how open the dining area was. There is limited seating in the main area though if you have big parties. They have a room off to the side for private parties. There was an assortment of beers and a full bar in the back. We chose this place after reading the recent google reviews. After seated, our waitress took a while to get to us, the hostess had to take our drink order. The vibe in the place is definitely a local feel. You could bring your family here. When we arrived the place wasn’t full. Yet our waitress was so busy she didn’t even take a breath to introduce herself. She just showed up, asked what we wanted and ran off again. We were left with our drinks empty many times. Although she appeared to could have some help, she did check back with us a couple of times throughout our meal. Our appetizers arrived and shortly our food..so the food was fast coming out but didn’t have time to enjoy the one before the other came. The food reviews did not disappoint us. The Mac and cheese could have been a little more creamy, the sauce was thin and runny. The drinks though, sweet tea we had was almost soured for the first glass, but could tell they made a fresh batch by the second glass. The special was impressive and the crab melt with onion rings tasted home made and fresh. After our main meal, we asked to order dessert and the waitress appeared to be surprised. Unfortunately, it was a so-so dessert, we have had better. Our meal was about $50.00, not bad for ordering apps, dinner and dessert.
A recommendation to have the owners check on their staff and all customers, and not just the local customers. We would come back and try more menu items when in the area.

Stopped here when we arrived in town for a quick dinner. Service was efficient but did not really know the bar menu or food menu when we asked questions. The prices were very reasonable and the food came pretty quick. The quality was decent but it is certainly bar food. Not bad but not really anything that will awards. I had the ribs and my wife had the shrimp. Both were ok.

Our kayak group of 17 came here unannounced. They accommodated us within 10 minutes by pulling some tables together. What’s even better is that the waitress let us all do separate checks!
Water was brought out immediately. Our drinks came shortly after. Within 10 minutes, our waitress came to take our orders explain the menu, answer questions, and even made substitutions for a couple of people in our group due to dietary restrictions.
Food came out quickly and amazingly she remembered everyone’s order!
The Ethan was a great hit! The Reuben was also highly recommended! My friend had the Grilled Tina Steak Salad and it was gorgeous; I wish I would have gotten that. I got the crab cake sandwich and was very happy with it. My husband and I are definitely going back!
I read mixed reviews when they first opened a couple of years ago, however they’ve worked out any kinks from our experience and they are going to be on our weekly rotation.

This was my first visit to the restaurant where four of us had dinner and drinks. The food was exceptional for all, and the delicious dessert we shared was awesome! The service was perfect, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends visiting St. Mary’s County and will revisit myself when I return for another visit with family. So glad to find such a nice place in Leonardtown to have dinner!

Super nice servers but the food is terrible . Unfortunately, on two different occasions, the chicken was under cooked and the ribs were not fresh. Beer glasses are different sizes so check to make sure you’re getting what you paid for. French fries were good but honestly don’t come here for food….

Crab melt was delicious, chicken tenders delicious also, especially with there honey mustard! Mac & Cheese very good. Burgers are the Best in Town! We all just love this Restaurant! Great service, we had a girl named Danny! Never had to ask for anything, she was on top of everything! Highly recommend checking out this fine establishment!

Awesome server, and awesome ribs. The crab cakes are mediocre, and I found the crab dip to be good, but a little salty. The chicken sandwich was awesome as well, though I forget the name of it. Again, the ribs… I am hard to please with steak and ribs, but these were both delicious items. (I will note that my wife wasn’t a huge fan of their sauce, because it’s not as sweet as she likes.) We’ve been three times, and look forward to trying the burgers.

I visit this place when I need to catch a bite or am looking for a more laid back atmosphere. The food is pretty good and I have not had one thing that wasn’t good. I have not had to wait for a table ever even during busy times, however I normally go on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The beer selection is a little more on the common side (Bud Light, Yeingling, Miller Light), but they do have two or three craft beers that I think rotate. Prices are average for what you get.

Went here for the first time for lunch last Thursday and I was so surprised at how amazing the atmosphere the staff and the food was. The chicken BLT was so good it reminded me of my grandma’s chicken! Better than any chicken I’ve had in a restaurant ever. Idk what they use on their batter but I want the recipe! It was so mouthwatering!!
