So much to like about Bottlehouse the bar, but it’s dragged down by the food options. It’s really not that hard to make a burger that will check the box, especially for kids, but it’s completely overthought with “fancy” brioche-type buns that totally overwhelm the dry, undersized patties (see pics).

I hate to say this, but maybe the worst burger in town. And I totally want these guys to succeed! They’re super nice. And the chicken tenders and fries are solid. I also give them points for dealing with such a small cooking space.

Just switch to potato rolls for the burgers. You’ll save space and money, and they’ll be better.

What brewery doesn’t do tastings before ordering? I’ll tell you… this one. Bartender claims it’s “against the law”. Food for thought, that law was repealed a decade ago.

Apathetic service, weak pours, 2 stars for the decent chicken tenders. Picture is their full pour.

Overall not recommended.

Bottle House Brewery & Meadery is more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s an experience. From the moment you step into its spacious, open setting, you feel a sense of community. Instead of TVs and isolated tables, you’ll find communal seating and board games, encouraging conversation and connection.

The drinks themselves? They transport you straight to the age of Vikings. The brewery started small but quickly grew into a powerhouse of creativity, offering a diverse range of beers, meads, and barrel-aged sours. Their dedication to the craft is evident in every sip, from the complex melomels like Metropolis to the rich, barrel-aged meads like The Guardian. Their sour beer program is another standout, constantly evolving and pushing boundaries.

With three taprooms in Cleveland Heights, Lakewood, and Shaker Heights, Bottle House has stayed true to its mission: fostering community through exceptional, locally crafted beverages. If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere and expertly brewed drinks, this spot is a must-visit.

Cheers to ten years of passion and innovation—here’s to many more!

I’ve just recently gotten into drinking Meade, so I can’t say a whole lot about it. That being said, I really enjoyed the Meade I had here. It had great flavor and wasn’t too sweet, and also wasn’t too bitter. Didn’t eat any of the food, so I can’t comment on that. Plenty of seating, so larger parties can easily be accommodated. Decent selection of board games, which was an added bonus. If you are in Cleveland Heights and are looking for somewhere to relax and have a drink, I highly recommend checking out Bottle House.

We went here before seeing a movie at Cedar Lee. I really enjoyed the beer and the food menu was limited but what we got was good. I do think next time I go, I’ll try out the chicken sandwich. However, I really enjoyed the beer options.

I love Bottlehouse!! Every time I’ve gone has been great. Very solid place for a group to go and hang out and have drinks. A local community I’m part of has even started doing monthly Happy Hour events here! The food is always interesting and really good (though they can be pricey), and the specialty cocktails are great. Cool spot to chill. Not too loud and no TV’s which is a nice change. They had Frankie Lynn hot dogs as a guest chef (must try!!!). I’ll definitely go back again.

This place is a great hangout spot! There’s quite a bit of parking available, and there’s a lot of outdoor seating! It has a really casual atmosphere, and a great selection of meads, sour ales, ciders, and more. They have their own little kitchen inside the brewery where they use, I’m told, fresh ingredients from the farm/farmer’s market. On Tuesday, it was bao night, and every choice – pork, chicken, and vegan – was great! The japanese omelet bowl was also great!

Beautiful ambience and classic place to catchup with friends for brunch, dinner, drinks or lunch. Place has on table games, special menu of the day, delicious Coffee and very convenient seating. Was surprised to see a Hindi (indian) phrase and found out that one of their best chefs is an Indian.
I ended up ordering a dish which has an Indian component to it – Parantha Crepes. So rich and mouthful with tastes. Too much for one person for sure but a good try!

Very relaxed atmosphere, the chefs will talk to you and make you feel at home. Your entire family is welcome, and to keep the children busy, they have games. The drinks are tasty . Farmersfeast is doing the cooking with meats supplied by gifted grass. So, that’s farm to table. You can’t beat that. ❤️❤️❤️
