I have had worse dining experiences in Casper, but you do not expect one as bad as we had last night in a 30$ per entree restaurant. A long way from the absolutely fabulous dinner we had last September. There were almost too many failures to even know where to begin. It was more than just being out of ingredients for several of their signature items. There was a noticeable difference in ingredient quality, food preparation, taste, seasoning, temperature, and overall presentation. The service was lackluster with a “we have your order, here is your food, now you are invisible” feel, of a franchise chain rather than the almost too attentive, “never had to wait for anything, never an empty drink” exceptional service of a locally owned well established restaurant. The waitress (maybe the manager ?) was gracious, acknowledged that they were having some issues, tried to offer thin excuses and platitudes, but I have just learned from the internet that there has been a recent management change and suspect that the problem is much higher up the management ladder and she did not have the tools nor the authority to effect any real change. I find it hard to believe that Olive Garden would have been a better choice for our evening. I will probably give them another chance based solely upon past experience and a long standing reputation in the community for exceptional dining. But it will definitely be after a sufficient wait to allow them to get their act together. It is sad to see that such a well respected community icon has fallen so far.

I took my mother here with a group and it was a horrible experience. We waited over half an hour to order then we waited another hour and a half before our food was brought to us. We asked several times and they always said they would check on it and get back to us. When it was brought to us we were shorted on the prawn by 2 and the rest were cold. When I complained and said this was unacceptable she took our food and stormed off then came back with a check for food we never ate because she took it. I asked to see a manager who never came. I finally walked out after 2 and a half hours of horrible service and never receiving our food. Funny thing is my husband and I had been going there for every anniversary and many times for our birthdays. We will not be returning ever. As a side note they raised their prices ridiculously high after the remodeling was done.

I ordered the pasta with sausage and the marinara was delicious. The sausage was a little over-cooked, and my salad had a little discoloration (not fresh greens), but those a minor details. My server was very good and I enjoyed our lite conversation. I will be back and I recommend you try it also.

My wife and I were driving through town on a road trip out to Spokane and decided to try the place out due to the good reviews. We did not share the other reviewers’ experience. I had the Marinara del Norte with sausage and my wife had the fettuccine alfredo. Portions were fairly small considering that the meal was nearly $40 for two plates of pasta and two salads. The pasta sauce was also very disappointing. At this price point I’d expect a good fresh made sauce, but it tasted like the cheap off brand canned stuff from a supermarket.

Our waitress was very nice, but seemed very new. When we asked questions about menu items she had to run back and ask the kitchen each time. The girl refilling water glasses was quite rude and made us uncomfortable each time she came to our table. Also when we finally gout our food mine was cold and the presentation was a joke. I hate to say it, but olive garden is better than this place.

In my opinion, Botticelle’s is the best restaurant in Casper. The food is amazing and home made. All the sauces are made per order and with the freshest ingredients. When available, the porterhouse lamb chops are the best I’ve EVER tasted. It is obvious that much care is taken by the chef to make each sauce and dish shine. The prices, for what you get, are beyond reasonable. A couple can have a meal and a bottle of wine for under $70. The atmosphere is charming and the service is outstanding.

The wait staff was sweet. If it weren’t for that, I would rate at one star. Salads were admittedly pre-cut bag lettuce, and it showed. Dressing was watered down. Chicken on my fettuccine was over-peppered to the point that was all I tasted. The prices are pretentious. Gordon Ramsey, I got a kitchen nightmare for you…

I decided to try out this place because of all of the great reviews; unfortunately, I can’t say the same. The bread that comes with the meal was good. My entree was ok, nothing to really rave about. Being a huge fan of tiramisu, I was really excited to come here at first because I thought surely this place would have great tiramisu, not so. I’m not a tiramisu expert but I’ve had a lot of tiramisu and in many places in Europe including Italy. Some of them were ok and some were amazing and two times they were inedible … One of those two time was at this restaurant. It tasted like it’s been sitting in the fridge uncovered for awhile. It had a fridge taste and was soggy and yet stale. My husband wants to come here and try out the place but I just can’t bring myself to come here again and spend money just to confirm whether or not a restaurant is good or not.

I’m stunned by the poor reviews. I’ve gone there and am planning to go again. Great food! You won’t find this type of atmosphere nor Italian food anywhere else in the Casper area. You just won’t. I recommend going.

Amazing food but bad day for them. They couldn’t cook the manicotti. My waiter knew I was a vegetarian and I ended up having pork on my plate. Food was amazing and hopefully this isn’t the norm here. I will come back to try out there manicotti again.
